Benji Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Ok so it now looks imminent that if Real cough up the dough Ronaldo is off. But as a Premiership outsider watching the weekend matches on SS or Setanta and then MOTD on a Saturday night which do you think you miss/will miss more, Henry or Ronaldo? I watch the premiership less and less as Leicester have slipped into the mire but these two players for me have been the best players over the past few years to have graced the English league. I was quite gutted when Henry left Arsenal, he was Arsenal and although that kept away from the limelight all the other players in the team he really was an amazing talent to watch, while everyone knows how well Ronaldo has done this year. They are both class class acts and great entertainers when not playing against your team and a shame that come August neither will be in the premiership.
Tevez Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Very tough call, but you got what you wanted off Henry from the big games. Ronaldo hardly makes an impact in the big games.
Daggers Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Never really watch the Premiership so neither. That's me too.
lildave3 Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Ronaldo. Loved watching Henry too though, shame he was an Arsenal player
Jordan Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Ronaldo, and I can't believe this is even up for discussion!
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Ronaldo, and I can't believe this is even up for discussion! Henry was better to watch, Arsenal at their peak were better to watch than any football team in my lifetime, by a distance.
Joe. Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Henry was better to watch, Arsenal at their peak were better to watch than any football team in my lifetime, by a distance. That season they were unbelivably good and Henry was the kingpin of this. It'll take something special for Ronaldo to have more of an impact on the Premiership as Henry's had, and with the way his potential move his shaping up he's not going to pass the Frenchman.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 June 2008 Posted 7 June 2008 I'll never forget when Arsenal tore the Inter defence apart in the 5-1 Champions League win. 2 goals and 2 assists. Brilliant Arsenal, brilliant Henry.
Libertine Posted 7 June 2008 Posted 7 June 2008 I'll never forget when Arsenal tore the Inter defence apart in the 5-1 Champions League win. 2 goals and 2 assists. Brilliant Arsenal, brilliant Henry. That was baffling, couldn't believe my eyes.
Stevosevic Posted 7 June 2008 Posted 7 June 2008 I don't think you can compare. Henry was incredible, a true premiership legend and a professional - not something i think you can say about Ronaldo's behaviour. People who supported other clubs liked Henry, he was just a brilliant player. Henry
