HUFCPoolie Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 Hi Guys, I am looking at putting a sneaky bet on you to go back up at the first attempt... Only reason i didnt do it for Leeds is just that.. They are dirty Leeds. How do you think your players will adapt and will it be quick enough? Cheers! All the best for the season ( from little old Hartlepool) supporter
lavrentis Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 I have the up most respect for supporters of teams like Hartlepool. Jeff Stelling is a legend!
Houdini Logic Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 I would get a bet on now just incase we somehow manage to attract a half decent manager. That said, our odds for going up are better (or worse if you're looking to bet) since getting rid of Holloway - no joke! Holloway end of season = 7/1 Current = 11/2
kylestyle06 Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 So if I put 20.00 down what would I get back? Not up to date with all this odds stuff
Number 6 Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 So if I put 20.00 down what would I get back? Not up to date with all this odds stuff at 11/2 you would win £110 plus get your stake back, so £130 returns
Guest seanfox778 Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 I would do it, but i don't have a great track record with bets, so i'm not going to tempt fate
Number 6 Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 Is it worth 20.00 you recon? No. I would wait to be honest. I think it's very early to be backing us at those odds. I feel we will know more about where we will finish in the next few weeks but odds won't change massively even a few games into the season.

Holloway end of season = 7/1 Current = 11/2 Surely they are odds to win the league, not to get promoted. If they're for promotion tell me where from and I'm lumping on in a big way right now.
Maybes Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 I could think of better things to put my money on. Pissing into the wind betting on us me thinks, we are the definition of unpredictable.
ASH17LCFC Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 This Leicester fan betted on us to go down at the start of last season. He won enough money to buy a season ticket. People say its wrong to bet against your team but if he's putting the money back into the club. He's not really in the wrong is he ? That he was me

Scow Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 Wait until you find out what twat Mandaric has appointed.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 1. It depends which players we have at the start of the season. Expect half of them to leave. 2. Follow my lead - I've got a tenner on Germany to win Euro 2008. If you're seeking logic in those two statements, don't bother. Short answer: unlikely.
