MON Posted 3 April 2005 Posted 3 April 2005 Was anyone watching before the match. He was trying one-on-ones with the keeper and scored almost every time. The thing I don't get is why he can't do it in the match. Also, he doesnt seem to get those chances at leicester too, surely we should try and create the chances that he wants too.
Ash Posted 3 April 2005 Posted 3 April 2005 Could be a confidence thing, He has no pressure in the warm up.
Steven Posted 3 April 2005 Posted 3 April 2005 Spelling his name in the title correctly would help his confidence no end.
Scow Posted 3 April 2005 Posted 3 April 2005 Could be a confidence thing, He has no pressure in the warm up. 87138 Exactly. A real life match situation is slightly different to a casual warm up...

And needs the crods support. Which he was given at Leeds and played well. Yeh, i think i know who you are talking about.

Vo Rogue Posted 3 April 2005 Posted 3 April 2005 We should get the old fat baldy guy who warms up wjth keepers. He put one in at half time from 30 metres out over our reserve keepers head via keepers fingertips. He couldnt touch it over the bar. Either hes good or keepers a bit scratchy.

Apart from the spell at Leeds, when has he been fit this season. Try Dodds.

I think we should give Blake another chance
Anish Posted 4 April 2005 Posted 4 April 2005 he did score for us against preston 87636 If that was the criteria then we'd still be playing Trev Benjamin
Jonbluefox9 Posted 4 April 2005 Posted 4 April 2005 I've seen Connolly miss some sitters in training too. He takes too many touches at times and by the time he gets his shot away the opportunity's gone. He puts 100% effort into games and he's starting to hold his position better throughout games now but he's yet to recover his natural goal scoring touch which he's had at previous clubs. He must be getting more confident now with his three goals in three games albeit two of them from penalties and hopefully the goals will start to flow from him in open play too.
step Posted 4 April 2005 Posted 4 April 2005 In practice before the match, connelly was being made to score from a one touch and shot, Obviously the coaching staff have realised he is taking to many touches before he tries and scores. After years of inactivity by coaching and managers alike, it is so good to see someone react and tackle a problem
