knowitall Posted 3 July 2008 Author Posted 3 July 2008 stop saying its not a world tour. Like Leicester would ever go on a world tour. I was being sarky.
Darkzzz_ Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 What a punishment for getting relegated!! I would have let them slum it in Bognor Regis, actually even Bognor is to nice.... I am expecting a front page spread, the latest Leicester City holiday, Pearson will be caught out with a couple of hookers or something

Babylon Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 by Bill Anderson City will go on a five-day trip to Slovenia, starting a week on Sunday, the day after their opening pre-season game against Hinckley at the Marston's Stadium on July 12. It will, essentially, be a training trip, but moves are being made to fix up some action against a couple of Slovenian First Division clubs in what is a rather hastily-organised venture in the wake of Pearson's arrival two weeks ago. There had been discussions regarding a spell at a military training base in Lincolnshire, but Pearson's opinion was that "it is not my style", hence the trip to Slovenia at short notice. The City boss said: "It will not be a soft option for the players. I can assure you, and the way training has gone this week, I think they will know that from what they have been going through already. "It is early days in the build-up and, while there is no short-cut to physical conditioning, we have also done a lot of ball work and the players have responded well to what has been asked of them. "The target is that they will be totally prepared for the opening day of the season and everything is geared towards that." The Slovenian trip does, however, cast a doubt over one of City's scheduled friendlies, at ex-City favourite Gary Mills's Tamworth on July 19. As this is due to be played the day after they return from Slovenia, the game - part of the deal which brought Gerry Taggart back to City from non-league football -might now need to be re-arranged.

cleaver1987 Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Ha ha you know Slovenia is one of Europe's top up and coming destinations, views better than some parts of canada and Northern USA, the Skiing resorts are renowned to be better than France, Italy and Switzerland its where the rich go to get away from the common skii user, the rock climbing is also so disattached from society meaning the team will be alone out there no distractions, probably no television pool table darts just old fashioned playing cards, walking and relaxing in one another company. im guessing many people have never been to Slovenia and because they have never really heard of the place think its shit, but thats because its not commercial and shown on TV all the time, think before you speak

Floating Fox Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 All the people slating Slovenia & slovakia have blatantly never been there. A mate of mine who goes every year to Slovakia says it's really neat and has also travelled to Slovenia which is very picturesque.
Phlashman Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 I think people aren't reading it properly. By "Bonding trip" they mean they are going to tour the Slovak Glue factory we're going to recruit their replacements from.

knowitall Posted 4 July 2008 Author Posted 4 July 2008 Leicester's first team squad will be going to either Slovakia or Slovenia next week as a bonding mission. It is a week outing with no games arramged. Okay its Slovenia and its the Sunday after the Quorn game.
