I remember baying for Pearce's blood that night as he walked from the far side of the pitch to the tunnel. I bumped into him outside the Marriot last year when he was here with the U-21s and I actually mentioned those tackles to him. He just smiled.

Stuart Pearce is one Forest legend I do have respect for, despite his horror challanges, he conducts himself well, he gets sent off does he stand their argueing till he's blue in the face, no, he just walks off.

Not that he had a land to stand on even if he did want to argue but that wouldn't stop most of todays "superstars".

Was at both of those league cup games that year, we completely outplayed Norwich, and the Forest game was the best atmosphere i've ever seen at filbo, everybody from both sides went completely nuts when Pearce got sent off, in realtime I remember thinking he'd killed Reid with the first challenge!
