sham Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Former Leicester City boss Martin Allen believes new manager Nigel Pearson will get the Foxes back to the Championship at the first attempt. Allen told BBC Radio Five Live: "I think they'll be more than good enough. They've lost some good players but the squad should be big and strong enough. "Nigel Pearson can do it. He'll get those players sorted." Former Brentford manager Allen was sacked in August 2007 after just three months in charge of the Foxes. Leicester face MK Dons in the first match of the season on Saturday. Article

Tommy Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Not posted in a while, but he was on TalkSport last night talking about City and the fact managers always have a phone to their ear. He eluded to the fact that Carlisle boss, John Ward, was on holiday and the chairman rang him up and said "I'm selling Kieran Westwood to Coventry, do you mind?" and then phoned Ward back 5 minutes later and said "Oh by the way, I'm selling the club." When asked what he thought of that, he replied "It's a lot better than being away and your chairman ringing you up and saying I've just bought this player". When asked if he add personal experience of that ...... No comment.
