C-man Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 Got my standing tickets to see them at the Nottingham Trent FM Arena on December 2nd. Can't fooking wait!! I saw them at Reading last year and every time I listen to one of their songs, my hairs stand on end. They are that damn good live. Anyone else seeing them this winter?
purpleronnie Posted 9 August 2008 Posted 9 August 2008 Probably the best band to come out of the US for some time. I would have gone but undure if I'll be back this year.
placidcasual Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Going to see them in Detroit Rock City in November. Odd thing is the venue only holds about 3000. They are far bigger in the UK than over here. I remember seeing them support the Sleepy Jackson at the Garage in Islington........

If it aint rap or watered down r & b it doesnt get in the charts. It seems in england there is much more variety.
Darkzzz_ Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 I will be watching them for the 4th time in December, I am going to the Birmingham gig. Massive fan. They are certainly one of the shining lights to come out of the copycat music scene of today.
Joe. Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 These are a band I'd like to see. Trouble is I don't actually know too many people who like them and therefore would have nobody to go with. Standing tickets sold out at Nottingham anyway...
Sparky Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Will be watching these guys next weekend at the V fest

I listen to the local independent radio station and satellite radio.

Floating Fox Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Love that track, heard it yesterday for the first time and it's fantastic. Radio 1 are gonna kill it. Had the radio on at work the past 2 days. I'm begeging to get bored of it already
Ryanside Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 Don't what it is about them but never really got into them. Saw them this year at Glasto but never got into their music, but lots of people seem to rave on about them so i think im probably in the minority!!

American bands are just so much better: The Felice Brothers The Hold Steady Conor Oberst Cursive The Killers Joan Wasser (Joan as Policewoman) Sun Kil Moon Paul Westerberg Marah Springsteen Fleet Foxes Tokyo Police Club etc etc etc Bar Radiohead of course. Even the Canadian scene is so much more healthy than the UK right now: Arcade Fire Stars Mathew Good Wolf Parade Feist etc etc etc
