We used to have a gay couple as neighbours; both divorcees with children. Quite sad, in all seriousness; one guy had contact with his daughter and was on amicable terms with his ex-wife, but his partner had a restraining order against him by his ex-wife, so he wasn't allowed to see his own daughter.
