Corky Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 To be fair he is behind Gerry Taggart in our centre-back pecking order so I think it's best if he went.
bigneville Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 As for when Kisnorbo is fit, I'm happy for him to get snapped up by another club and let Morrison use the club as a stepping stone. Also Hobbs is not ours, Oh but what if Tunchev gets snapped up by a bigger and better club? It's all well and good now telling him to fck off but in the long run, think about it. I see your point about the long run. But if he was any good in NP's view. He wouldnt have spent 800k on a centre half an brought in another two in, all being one on loan. Pearson obviously doesn't rate him, so even if the above happens and we lose some of the current crop. I'm sure we would strengthen rather than play Worley.

Irrespective of what he might, and I only say might, offer in the future Pearson clearly doesn't rate him ahead of Tunchev, Hobbs and Morrison nor, more importantly, does he rate him as a man to build our defence around. Worley has two choices. He can continue learning his trade and trying to convince the boss that he's a player worth persevering with or he can seek a move elsewhere and take his chances that former centre-back Pearson is wrong which I don't think is the case at all at this time. You've mentioned Worley's okay performance at Stoke but in games I watched him play for the reserves Worley was never particularly convincing and tended to make costly mistakes. The ball's in his court really but I don't see Pearson as a guy who will carry too many passengers. And if we lose someone like Kisnorbo or Morrison I'm sure he'll have earmarked alternatives by then.

Tommy G Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 He's a better CM than King so we should keep him for that reason What?? Evidence of this. He had an average game against Stoke and hasn't made a competitive apperance since then! I just hope your statement was a joke
