Thracian Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Worley is better at CM and is much better than Morrison. He's got no chance of getting in at centre-midfield.
DB11 Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Who do you think the request was from? Harry Worley as a first guess But he said apparently, so who did he apparently get the information from? It was a different way of everyone else saying 'Source?'
Jay Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 The lad is nearly 20 years old and made a total of 12 career starts and demands to be put on the transfer list!! does he have some sort of "I played for Chelsea" atitutde problem if he doesn't want to knuckle down and fight for a place then bye bye nobody has a right to a first team place
General Smuts Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 He didn't tell me the bald headed bastard! I know im back in herts now but a phone call wouldn't have gone a miss!
eaststandtom Posted 18 August 2008 Author Posted 18 August 2008 He is a good squad player to have, but I understand if he wants to move on, as he is currently way down the pecking order. its along these lines i gather and he wants to play 1st team football. just heard through a friend so could be total bollocks but he's not in the picture and pearson should know a decent centre half, particularly one he is going to use, when he sees one. so wouldnt be a surprise. cant see him getting in ahead of n'gotty and a fit kisnorbo either so it makes sense

Worley must be at least ahead of him. He would be interesting in CM as a physical foil to King, allowing him to get forward and into space more. I doubt he'd actually be better than Oakley or whoever, it'd just be interesting to see, especially if teams do start giving our slightly vunerable midfield a battering.
Tevez Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Lies. Okey doke. He's got no chance of getting in at centre-midfield. Over a below average, poor corner taking Andy King? I think so.
wirralsimon Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Send him on loan until the new year and make a decision then. Simon
davieG Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 I find it laughable that anyone can think of him in midfield, he's not even up to being a CB yet which is the position he's been developed on. Playing him there against Stoke was one of Holloway's most diabolical decisions and was a clear indication that he'd lost the plot.
Tevez Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Worley had a better game against Stoke than Clemence and Oakley did in the second half of the Season.
Thracian Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Okey doke. Over a below average, poor corner taking Andy King? I think so. No-one has had the good grace and fairness to mention that space was very limited around the Tranmere corner flag and as far as I could see King had a one step option before delivery. Even then the corners made the six yard box - one went too long, one resulted in a scramble that might have produced a goal and another was cleared. There was nothing especially bad about them at all - they just weren't good and for a perfectly understandable reason. As for your thinking Worley is better in midfield than King - from the evidence of one game where he hardly shone - I just thank providence that you're not our manager. We might be heading for the fourth tier of English football...ground floor, street level. Perhaps we'd even aspire to a home derby against Hinckley United.
DanTheFox07 Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Lies. To be fair worley has my sympathy vote going on the final game of the season.... he looked more than capable of playing in the first team! nayway wasnt long ago till everyone was doubting morrison so show`s you how quickly people change there minds on here! but defence has been solid in last couple of games, but can`t help but think we need a striker otherwise gonna be like last year, good defence not enough goals.
Houdini Logic Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Worley is better at CM and is much better than Morrison. I'd go with that - don't know how Morrison gets ahead of Worley. Definitely don't know how Morrison gets ahead of Hobbs!
The Reverend Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 I'd go with that - don't know how Morrison gets ahead of Worley. Definitely don't know how Morrison gets ahead of Hobbs! Tbh I trust Nigel Pearsons judgment over yours as he see's both players in training everyday. And as for Worley being a better CM than King, I'm pretty sceptical.

Agreed. I'd go with that - don't know how Morrison gets ahead of Worley. Definitely don't know how Morrison gets ahead of Hobbs! Morrison is shaky as fook, as is Hobbs! They can't play together, Ok clean sheet at Stockport but they got fooking murdered against Palace 2nd half when they was together.
Shipman Out Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 If this is true im gutted really, dont want Worley to go. Thing is Square head was a centre back himself so he cant be mad on Worley not picking him, i thought he looked good at Stoke. I want him to Stay, i hope Hp source is a lie
bigneville Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 Worley has played one game for the club. How can people be gutted he's leaving? Big Nigel has given him a whole pre-season and judged he isn't good enough. Have the current 3 centre backs playing not done enough to inspire you that there good enough for this level? (Tunchev, Morrison and Hobbs) With Kisnorbo to come back from injury, i'm happy the club has got 4 centre halfs all good enough for this level. So let Worley go. Let the lad try and build a career somewhere, instead of sitting in the Leicester reserves. But by no means would I be gutted he was gone, it might actually clear up the wage bill for a new left back. As for Worley in midfield.

Joe. Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 Wow this topic has reached 3 pages.... but who cares really?

Tevez Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 As for when Kisnorbo is fit, I'm happy for him to get snapped up by another club and let Morrison use the club as a stepping stone. Also Hobbs is not ours, Oh but what if Tunchev gets snapped up by a bigger and better club? It's all well and good now telling him to fck off but in the long run, think about it.
Tommy G Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 Can't see what the fuss is about, he's probably 4/5th choice CB Handing in a transfer request (at this stage of the season) clearly means he thinks he is bigger and better than this club, an attitude you'd expect from an ex Chelski. Get the arrogant nonse out
