Guest Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 Aren't they supposed to be 5-7-5 in terms of syllables? (apologies if this is wrong, my knowledge of poetry is fairly limited)
Alexikokopops Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 Aren't they supposed to be 5-7-5 in terms of syllables?(apologies if this is wrong, my knowledge of poetry is fairly limited) Yes, they should be.
moseeds Posted 26 August 2008 Author Posted 26 August 2008 Aren't they supposed to be 5-7-5 in terms of syllables?(apologies if this is wrong, my knowledge of poetry is fairly limited) Bugger you're right!! Rincewind Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 Beat me to it. I thought it was 5-7-5 but there are variations as long as there is a pattern. Something like this. City score late winner. Fans score down a back alley. A good day for all.
