That wasn't the first time though.

Last year we lost last minute to Chelsea.

Year before we lost in the last minute to Villa, and in the last minute in the FA Cup to Fulham.

Year before, 2005/2006 we lost in the last minute in the FA Cup to Southampton, and lost in extra time to Bolton in the League Cup.

Year before, 2004/2005 we lost in the last ten minutes to Blackburn, and in extra time to Preston in the League Cup.

That's not even league form.

In most of these games the lads really did us proud, but like maddog said in Live Chat, you come to expect a late goal going against us in cups...it would be special if we could hold out for the last ten minutes of these games....we'd cause so many shocks.

Then it would have been even more frustrating when we couldn't play like it in the league.

We have had a run, haven't we? I'd say it's more than just bad luck. You can't really blame the players as they are chopping and changing all the time - we've been through about four squads (never mind first teams) since 04/05!

I think it's our fault. The average Leicester crowd seems to be unnaturally tense in the last few minutes of any game, even where we have been relatively coasting along. Most clubs expect to win when they are a goal (or even two!) up with ten to play. I think the Leicester fans tend to fall to pieces at that stage. OK, that has partly to do with some historical bad luck but is it now becoming a vicious circle?

probably, but games like the tranmere one will help - all we need is a good run of form, so that when we are leading with minutes to go, rather than accepting the inevitable, with teams looking for the winner/equaliser, we'll have the confidence to go forward and catch them on the break...

Is it a suprise the fans are like this - there's been enough experiences of us losing a lead for the fans to expect it. Should I mention the Wolves 4-3 or the unbelievable Middlesborough 3-3 game which were in the same season. That was also the season where Dickov missed a crucial pen against Man City late on. Oh how things could have been different if we could hold a lead!

But then again...

Leicester 3 - 2 Tottenham

Leicester 3 - 2 Forest

Leicester 1 - 0 Villa

Can't help but fear the worst i'm afraid.

Just hope this is not a confidence killer. Part of me feels really good about the performance, but the other part can't help but feel we probably lost because they were fitter and had stronger legs at the end.

Viva Leicester!

There is no chance at all of that happening this season...unless we gets points deducted for some reason.

H'mmm never say never Thrac, stranger things have happened

Yes it was a massive upset

It was in a way, a Leicester City side ruthlessly thumping a perrenial struggler. Doesn't happen normally.

we don't usually play 3rd tier strugglers though ;)

Good point, and hopefully this will be the last time we visit League 1 grounds trying to win league points.
