Darkzzz_ Posted 7 December 2009 Author Posted 7 December 2009 Just watched the Barca goals, nice to see lio bagging a couple again.Rome derby was an okay watch. It's annoying me now.Lionel, or Leo. That's the one, bloody Lio, sounds like a cartoon character. As for the Rome derby, really enjoyed the second half a lot more as the game came alive. Pleased Roma won as well because the director here is a big Lazio fan so it makes two of us that have been done over by our rivals this weekend.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Lyon suffered another big loss, up 2 nil and 3-1 at HT to get done 4-3 was shocking
Darkzzz_ Posted 12 December 2009 Author Posted 12 December 2009 Good narrow win for Barca against Espanyol with Ibrahimovic scoring again. I really enjoyed the Valencia and Madrid game and I have to say how impressed I was with both teams. Madrid are going to get better and better. Higuain is top class, Argentina!! Juve got tanked again tonight 3-1 at Bari, I did see the majority of it as I recorded it. I think Mancini could be in for Ferrara soon if the rumours are true. After beating Inter last week they go and mess it up to a tidy Bari team.
lildave3 Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 High drama at the empty Saracoglu today. 1-0 up thanks to Alex, then Ankaragucu equalise through Darius pissing Vassell <_< 50th minute, 2-1 Gucu <_< <_< 60th minute, Alex the saviour scores yet again to level it up and then with 2 minutes to go Guiza pops up with a winner. Vital goal. Keeps them top by a point.
Super_horns Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 Heard in the German league Hanover scored 6 goals...bad luck for them was that 3 were own goals!
Edmund Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 I really enjoyed the Valencia and Madrid game and I have to say how impressed I was with both teams. Madrid are going to get better and better. Higuain is top class, Argentina!! That game was straight out the top draw considering it was 0-0 HT 3-2 FT. Personally still think Real were lucky as Valencia worked very hard and probably deserved at least a point.

Yeah it was a good game and it looks like Valencia are on the up although I do feel for Emery as he doesn't have a lot to work with in regards to funds available to him.

A harsher penalty decision you shall never see, Barca were complete dog shite. (Which they have been for 90% of the season) Real are still half a football team. Iker Cassillas continues to be the most over rated player in world football.
Budweiser Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 What is Valencia's cash crisis like these days? Still terrible I take it?
TrickyTrev Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 What is Valencia's cash crisis like these days? Still terrible I take it? I think it is a little improved, sold some land. They managed to hold onto Villa and Silva this summer remember.

lildave3 Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 Proof that nobody reads my Fener posts - Darius Vassell scored for crying out loud!
AjcW Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Proof that nobody reads my Fener posts - Darius Vassell scored for crying out loud! Most of us are still picking ourselves up off the floor after that news. Was looking at feners recent results.. still just in the lead right?
Uncle Albert Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Best bit about the Real Valencia game was Pepe going off injured and now possibly missing the World Cup, overated peice of shit. Got to agree with Nathko on Higuain - he is top class, I really think Lassana Diarra is overated aswell in that Real team, Alonso bailed him out so much against Valencia.
AjcW Posted 18 December 2009 Posted 18 December 2009 European Champions FC Barcelona defeated Mexican side Atlante in the semi-final of the World Club Championship to assure a place in the final of the competition on Wednesday.Barcelona had to come back from conceding a shock early goal to the Mexicans to avoid a shock and the Spanish outfit will now face the Argentinean team Estudiantes in Saturday's final in Abu Dhabi. Guillermo Rojas opened the scoring in the third minute with a freak goal. Atlante took a foul from deep in its own penalty area. There should have been no problem, but the Barcelona defense totally misjudged the ball and goalkeeper Victor Valdes mistimed a run off his line to leave Rojas with a simple tap in. The Mexican squad had said before the game they were angry at being written off before kick off and for a while it looked as if a surprise was on the cards. However, Barcelona soon took control of things and Sergio Busquets levelled the score ten minutes before half time. Xavi Hernandez took a corner, Toure Yaya got a touch and Busquets was on hand to score from close range. Barcelona had kicked off without Leo Messi in the starting 11. The forward had missed Saturday's Primera Liga game with an ankle injury. Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola decided to bring Messi into the match after 52 minutes and a minute later he was rewarded with a goal. Messi received a pass and with his first touches in the game, rounded the Atlante keeper and scored to put Barcelona ahead. Pedro Rodriguez scored Barcelona's third goal after 66 minutes. The goal meant that Pedro has made history by becoming the first player ever to score a goal in all six competitions Barcelona has participated in this season. He has scored in the Primera Liga, King's Cup, Spanish Supercup, Champions League, European Supercup and now the World Club Championship. An incredible feat for the 22-year-old. Both sides had chances in the closing minutes, but Barcelona always looked to be in control and is now one win away from making history by lifting six titles in a calendar year. Pedro to the rescue. It wasn't the prettiest of games to say the least, but barca got the job done, will be a tough final tomorrow.

Don't watch much Spanish football but watched the game and would also agree Higuain is quality the way he took his 2nd i think was class.
Uncle Albert Posted 18 December 2009 Posted 18 December 2009 Don't watch much Spanish football but watched the game and would also agree Higuain is quality the way he took his 2nd i think was class. Tres that. His best moment of the match was when he took on the full back and cut it back round the centre half then horribly put his shot wide, if it had gone in it would of been a classic. I am really impressed with Higuain this season - with all the players Madrid brought in I think most of us thought Higuain wouldnt get much of a chance but he has been easily one of their better players this year.
AjcW Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Real Madrid look brilliant... 4-0 after 35 minutes higuain
lildave3 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Real Madrid look brilliant... 4-0 after 35 minuteshiguain Could have sworn you were a Barca bummer.
AjcW Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Could have sworn you were a Barca bummer. I can appreciate a bloody impressive performance with some incredible goals. Really enjoyed that game and the curry and beer
Darkzzz_ Posted 20 December 2009 Author Posted 20 December 2009 Not a huge Madrid fan, but you have to admit when they look good and they sure look good. I'd still rather see Madrid win the CL than an English side unless it is against United. Big fan of Higuain; Looking forward to seeing him lift the world cup next year.
lildave3 Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 Fener beat Trabzonspor 1-0, Guiza. Better performance by the sounds of things, now Emre is back.
AjcW Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 The Epiphany Day football on ESPN in Italy has been okay so far. Watched Inter this morning, 11am kick off . They won 1-0 Balotelli Bagging. At the moment its Parma 1-2 Juve after 72 minutes, Martin caceres just been sent off for Juva(Lad on loan from Barca.) Diego has been good fun to watch so far. Later tonight its Milan V Genoa, should be a decent game, I like watching Genoa. Some other latest scores from the lunchtime kick offs: Fiorentina 4-0 Sienna Cagliarri 0-2 Roma Lazio 2-1 Livorno.

Wondered why there were some seemingly random midweek daytime games on in Serie A. Guess that's their version of Boxing Day then.
AjcW Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 Wondered why there were some seemingly random midweek daytime games on in Serie A. Guess that's their version of Boxing Day then. Apparently its some catholic second xmas . But yes its a public holiday so silly kick off times on a random day of the week maybe not so... random. Also in Greece and Spain. But spain only have the copa del ray fixtures. Barca's disappointing loss last night against an impressive sevilla in the first leg was a bit of a downer.
