Darkzzz_ Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 European Leagues: Serie A I watched a very good game between Napoli and Roma today which ended in a 1-1 draw. Napoli should have won the game to be fair. They have a good young side and they may well go far in the Uefa Cup this season. Lavezzi was creative as always, today for Napoli. Ronaldinho was in sensational form for Milan in the highlights I seen, but it was the same old Milan as they lost 2-1 at home to newly promoted Bologna. Former Birmingham striker Mauro Zarate was in good form in one other notable result which saw Lazio hammer Cagliari 4-1 away from home. La Liga I have been looking forward to a new look Barcelona kick off there new campaign and It was not worth the wait, they were awful as they went down 1-0 away to newly promoted Numancia. Barca seemed the same as they were last season. Very bad start to the season for them. Valencia were awesome last night in there game as they outplayed and beat Mallorca 3-0 and played some lovely football. La Liga holders Real Madrid also started the season badly going down 2-1 away at Deportivo. Deportivo thoroughly deserved the 3 points. I have only seen a few highlights of other games from around Europe, but if anyone wants to add any short reviews of any games from around any of the league's in Europe they have seen then please feel free.
lildave3 Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 Huzzah for this thread! Fenerbahce gained their first points of the Turkcell Super-League campaign in a 2-0 win against Istanbul Büyüksehir Belediyespor at the Fenerbahce Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium. Talented canary Kazim Kazim opened the scoring in the 51st minute and Turkish star Semih Sentürk made it two after 10 minutes. Fenerbahce was missing several first-team players due to injury including Edu Dracena, Devid de Souza and Emre Belözoglu. Semih --- This thread is basically gonna be me posting about Fenerbahce.
Darkzzz_ Posted 31 August 2008 Author Posted 31 August 2008 Huzzah for this thread!Semih --- This thread is basically gonna be me posting about Fenerbahce. Good... That is what it's all about, I want a round up from all over. Good win for Fener, I like the look of them just seen some highlights. Top stuff.
Samilktray Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I want updates on FC Bunyodkor and the Uzbekistani league.
lildave3 Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 Good...That is what it's all about, I want a round up from all over. Good win for Fener, I like the look of them just seen some highlights. Top stuff. Where are these highlights?
Darkzzz_ Posted 31 August 2008 Author Posted 31 August 2008 Where are these highlights? My GF's old man has this lush satellite receiver, so we have football flying at us from all angles. Obviously Serie A is a main fixture in our house with them being Italian, but because we have it linked up to 2 TV's there is a great channel on there that shows highlights all day from around europe. That is where I see the Fenerbache highlights. Other Games Juventus game was decent tonight against Fiorentina, it finished 1-1, Nedved for Juve and Giladino for Viola. Also just seen the Villarreal highlights they drew 1-1 away at Osasuna. Marcos Senna hit a lovely free kick. None of the teams who finished in the top 3 in both La Liga and Serie A last season, recorded wins on this opening weekend in there respective leagues.
Lillehamring Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 i watched vål'enga vs RBK - i say watched it, i mean, i turned it on realised they are two poor mid-table teams who couldn't be arsed, especially VIF, really poor stuff, gutted, and then turned it over...

Alexikokopops Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Huzzah for this thread!Semih --- This thread is basically gonna be me posting about Fenerbahce. I'm just confused by their description of Colin Kazim-Richards Talented canary Kazim Kazim
Alexikokopops Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 That's what they call him. I meant the "talented canary" bit.
sdb Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 vALENCIA should be top 4 now Koeman's gone. Quite fancy Athletico to keep on pushing too.
Darkzzz_ Posted 1 September 2008 Author Posted 1 September 2008 Atletico were supreme this weekend. They really could upset the "Big Boys"
lildave3 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 I meant the "talented canary" bit. Fenerbahce's nickname (in english) is the canaries
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Besiktas, the one and only Turkish club, are in action tonught after winning their first game of the season 3-2. Two of those goals came from Bobo, a Brazilian striker who is much more gifted then Semih Semturk. Yeah.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Dont set him off. HEY! Worked like a charm.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Why I oughta What a poor start for Fenerbahche though. Poor, poor effort all round.
lildave3 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 What a poor start for Fenerbahche though. Poor, poor effort all round. Poor first game yeah, but a win against Partizan and then a comfortable win over Istanbul BB makes things better. Galatasary have also dropped points early on. They also had me quite excited on the website because they signed José Joaquín Moreno Verdú (Josico). For a minute I thought it was Joaquín.

lildave3 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Deemed useless by Villareal. They can do better than that. Just a replacement for Aurelio really.
