dog_4 Posted 19 September 2008 Posted 19 September 2008 defence has to be kisnorbo tunchev gilbert and mattock in the future.
James. Posted 19 September 2008 Posted 19 September 2008 Emergency left back. Useful in midfield as well apparently...

Lovejoy Posted 19 September 2008 Posted 19 September 2008 Kisnorbo is overrated. We are a better side without him. Personally I'd definately look to sell in January.
Joe. Posted 19 September 2008 Posted 19 September 2008 Glad to have him back, he'll still had great competition for an already very strong set of centre backs we've got currently. Personally I don't feel the need to have him back in the team straight away, until things go badly wrong with who we're using at the moment.
lildave3 Posted 19 September 2008 Posted 19 September 2008 I love Hobbs and Tunchev too much atm. If one of those starts to slip up though, he's certainly not a bad replacement!

Kisnorbo in my opinion is quality.... whats the point in selling him in jan when he will have played barely any games and his value won`t be anywhere near what he is worth! think again.

We have better alternatives and he can leave for nothing in the summer when his contract is up .
Fox You Forest Posted 19 September 2008 Posted 19 September 2008 We have better alternatives and he can leave for nothing in the summer when his contract is up . Your not seriously suggesting Morrison is better than him?
Lovejoy Posted 19 September 2008 Posted 19 September 2008 Your not seriously suggesting Morrison is better than him? Perhaps not, but Hobbs and Tunchev are. People also seem to forget how Kisnorbo doesn't distribute the ball, he merely hoofs it. Yes he can defend, but persistently gives the ball away.

Yes he can defend, but persistently gives the ball away. Those two should be starting both have been excellent. I'm just saying we shouldn't get rid, Some will need a rest at some point, Tunchev seems to pick up a knock everytime he goes away with Bulgaria also. Morrison just scares the shit out of me. Unless of course it's a silly offer in January.

I agree with what you've said here, but the highlighted bit is exactly how I feel when Kisnorbo is in posession, even if there's no-one within 20 yards of him . And surely £1million (for example) is better in January than nowt in July?
James_lcfc Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Perhaps not, but Hobbs and Tunchev are. People also seem to forget how Kisnorbo doesn't distribute the ball, he merely hoofs it. Yes he can defend, but persistently gives the ball away. Not saying you're wrong, but from what I've seen Hobbs is no different. His passing is just as shoddy as Kisnorbo's, and against Millwall he couldn't kick the ball straight for love nor money. Kisnorbo was an integral part of the second best defense in the Championship last year and in my opinion has to be slowly coaxed back into the starting line up. He was one of our most consistent performers last year and is one of those old fashioned centre backs who willingly put their bodies on the line for the cause. Him and Tunchev at the back would be so far superior to Morrison and Hobbs it's untrue.
Jaspa Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 And he does get goals in, something none of our defenders exept Gilbert look like doing
dilko2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 When fit Kisnorbo would come into my starting line up with tunchev remeber hobbs is not ours and is morrison who has had a good start to season but against a first real test failed better than a man who was part of one of the best defences in the championship last season and was linked with a number of top championship clubs?. i might also add a man who played 30 games in that defence last season is not getting a look in either!
