davieG Posted 4 October 2008 Posted 4 October 2008 City's Under-18s made it three wins on the bounce with a 2-0 victory at Birmingham City on Saturday lunchtime. Two second half goals from Reneil Sappleton swung the tie in the visitors' favour after some good work on both occasions by Adam Vasey. And Academy Manager Jon Rudkin was pleased with the youngsters' performance. He said: "We played very well against an experienced Birmingham side which included first-team squad member Jordan Mutch. "There was nothing to choose between the two sides in the first half but we upped the tempo after the break and fully deserved the three points." City's Under-18s are back in action against Tottenham Hotspur at Belvoir Drive next Saturday. Who's Jordan Mutch? How long has he been a 1st team member and where does he play?
Mark Posted 4 October 2008 Posted 4 October 2008 Central midfield I think, very highly rated. Think he played against us pre season!
Thracian Posted 4 October 2008 Posted 4 October 2008 Who's Jordan Mutch? How long has he been a 1st team member and where does he play? That will push us up towards mid table. Vasey seems to have made a difference with both goals and assists in recent matches and the physical presence of Sappleton will always cause problems at under 18 level. Defence seems to be settling down too after a change or two. Couple of home games next if it doesn't rain!

Father Ted Posted 4 October 2008 Posted 4 October 2008 Mutch is a Birmingham player davieG! I also thought that we had signed Jordan Mutch but I thought before I typed
Thracian Posted 4 October 2008 Posted 4 October 2008 His signing went unannounced then So is that Mutch and Vasey as back up for central midfield after KIsh and (Porter ) Mutch plays for Birmingham. And I'd imagine Pearson would go for Adams in central midfield ahead of Vasey or Lee Cox at this stage.
