Daggers Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 I've had bastard calf cramps keeping me awake since I got hit by the car until tonight. Physio recommended quinine sulphate and sensual massages when I went to hospital this week - so I'm on my third pint of gin and tonic tonight and *fuck me* the cramps have vanished. My physio is a genius. I can't wait for someone to stump up the sensual massage now - and MrsD is in bed so who's game?
Daggers Posted 24 October 2008 Author Posted 24 October 2008 Isn't quinine what they use to cure malaria? I guzzled G&T's in Venezuela while Sue got bitten to pieces on her lagers. Gin and Quinine is God's own drink.
Guest Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 I guzzled G&T's in Venezuela while Sue got bitten to pieces on her lagers.Gin and Quinine is God's own drink. I don't do gin or tonic. However, I very rarely get mozzy bites. I think I'm one of the lucky few.
AoWW Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 Quinine is highly recommended for headaches / migraines too. I find it works bestest with vodka and a scoop of lemon sorbet.
Daggers Posted 24 October 2008 Author Posted 24 October 2008 As I say, I am on pint number three and I haven't been bitten by a single mozzie or suffered a migraine all night - proof positive if ever one were needed.

So basically, what you are saying is, next time we need to have both gin and tonic in. Correct?

lildave3 Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 I know exactly what he is talking about. I shall say no more. But I like to see arguments, and since JakeShingleberry was put on ignore, I haven't been getting my fix!

Finnegan Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 Which rules?! Not the monopoly rules surely?!?TELL ME THE DOG LIVED! Run over by the little car.
lildave3 Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 Run over by the little car. But the dog was bigger? It was like some kind of superhuman gigantic yet minicscule mutt. The thimble was always the one that baffled me. How can a thimble move?!

lildave3 Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 I'm just baffled. Is your brain switched off for half term now?
James. Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 Just to revert back to mosquito bites briefly, in Cuba (I'll stop going on about it soon) during one afternoon I got bit over 80 times just on my f**king arms, over half of which were concentrated on my elbows. F**kers.

AoWW Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 Is your brain switched off for half term now? That implies it was switched on at some point...

Daggers Posted 25 October 2008 Author Posted 25 October 2008 Hammed-up limp? I don't think so. And the calf is loving the infusion of tonic again tonight.
