skinnydipper Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Anyone watching the new series ? Mrs SD was a bit upset that Adam Carter died but I was quite pleased as he gave normal men a bad name. Got to watch episode 2 on Sky + before tomorrow night.

skinnydipper Posted 2 November 2008 Author Posted 2 November 2008 I was gutted. He was fit. That was the problem. He gave a bad name to real men. Lucas isn't quite so threatening to those of us with a baby belly
LeeCovFox Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 He was far too good looking for his own good. But he was a bloody good character. Lucas isn't quite at the same level. By the way, Hermione Norris. Yes please. A night with her would make me consider forgiving the female gender for all the shite they have put me through this past couple of weeks!
skinnydipper Posted 3 November 2008 Author Posted 3 November 2008 Hopefully better times ahead for you but your attraction to Hermione suggests that you go for women who treat you mean. Just seen her put "the squeeze" on the Russian in episode 2. Made my eyes water

Raj Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Spooks was one of the best progs around. Dunno how well it will cope without Rupert Penry !!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 I had an issue with tonights though - it wasn't as well written, a lot of the things in the story were bloody obvious. Part of me hopes our real security services aren't this stupid when trying to protect us, but sadly they've already proved that they are! Should i not post for a while mind take this post to the papers!

Next episode is about a spook leaving a laptop on a train and the security services efforts to recover it. How far fetched is that ?
Zingari Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 i don't understand it , i preffered it when the good guys wore white hats and the bad guys wore black ones . and the women were only there as prizes for the winner of the big fight at the end

Pedal cars and splodge guns
eye666 Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 That was the problem. He gave a bad name to real men. Lucas isn't quite so threatening to those of us with a baby belly That Lucas guy is pretty ripped though. And he looks hard with all those tatts. Very manly. (But not in a Brokeback Mountain kind of way)
Head Honcho Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 Spooks was one of the best progs around.Dunno how well it will cope without Rupert Penry !! I dunno Leicester's own Richard Armitage is more then adequate replacement. Don't forget how good he was as The Sheriff of Nottingham!
Samilktray Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 The first series was superb, hooked I was. Drifted away from the following series' but watched the spin off from earlier this year and thought that was decent. One of the better British programs made.
