carterfox90 Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 I did not got to the match last night but my 2 sons did and said it was a pathetic performance back to the dark days of last season,If NP dont soon start giving some of these so called big names a kick up the arse particular Howard we are not going to get promotion, He wants to have a clear out ASAP get rid of some these overpaid over the hill has beens i cannot beleive we paid the sheepshaggers £1.5mil for Howard, and a word of warning for NP take alook over your shoulder the managerial meery go round is starting to get in full swing and one MM favourite sons is out of work [iD ]. would mm go for dowie when boothroid is available pearson now has to show what he can do like your lad i went we were crap & it was like watching them last season there is something really wrong at our club that just seems to keep raising its ugly head cant put my finger on it perhaps its the players think that they are a lot better than they actually are
JoeyB Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 Howard is playing well?? Have you been going to games?
adam Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 Have you been going to games? Indeed i have. Just dont think hes up to it, hes had his chance. Theres more to a footballer than flick ons. Bout time he was dropped, hes played everygame hasnt he this term and looks about as threatening as DJ campbell whos been out injured all season.
frenzal Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 Hendo - 6. Fairly solid. Looked for quick throws out but didn't often have the option. Hobbs - 3. Not a right back, let their guy get goalside for the first, some woeful distribution. Morrison - 6. Average. Kisnorbo - 4. Hoofball. Powell - 5.5. Average. Adams - 5.5. At least he tried to be positive but just didn't have any joy. King - 4. Well below average. Oakley - 4. Played better in the final few minutes and although I thought he was better than King it is totally unacceptable for a captain to go missing for most of the game. We needed him to get stuck in & take control last night and he let us down. Dyer - 5. Didn't seem to pose any real threat. Howard - 8. Worked tirelessly, won headers all night. People who slate him can **** off, no one tried harder than him last night. He's never going to skin his man...ever, so don't boo him for it. Perhaps if we had a couple of wingers who put early crosses into the box then we'd see why he scored so many at Derby and Luton. I'm really starting to feel for the guy, I mean people were booing him when other players made a mistake. God forbid it'd been him who missed that header that Fryatt did when still at 1-0. Fryatt - 5. Missed that header, didn't score the penno, selfish, generally didn't look like scoring. Hayles - 5. Inconsequential. Berner - 4. Surely Adams offered us more? Chambers - 5.5. No real impact but he's a young lad who's come back from injury into a side that was already woeful. Overall a shit night on the pitch, but off it at least we got to stand all night hassle free and had a bit of a laugh.
Wezleylowski Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 Have you been going to games? I have and I can safely say that Howard is not playing well. I don't boo him because it's Nigel Pearsons fault he gets picked every week. Perhaps he's to inept to see he isn't up to the task. You say he wins flick on's and I agree, he does, but unfortunatly as Adam says there is more to target men than winning flick ons. I'd like to see him and the midfield getting the ball on the deck and playing it to the wings and making runs into the box to get on the end of the crosses but Howard doesn't seem to want to. Perhaps he hasn't got the pace anymore? I do think Pearson has to shoulder some of the blame for Howard because he picks him every week. Him and Fryatt don't work together. Roll on january, we need a new target man, someone like Liam Dickinson.
allard7 Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 Hendo 6 - Not bad made a few good saves Hobbs 4 - useless, need i say any more, either centre back or nowhere for me Powell 5 - solid Kisnorbo 4 - didnt look like his "heroe" status, to be honest not very convincing, tunchev please, and please no more long ball every time ! Morrison 5 - solid took the ball didnt oof Adams 6 - ran around, good effort final ball not bad either. Dyer 5 - not up to usual standard final ball let him down. Oakley 5 - didnt really see him do a lot King 5- same as oakly ^^ Howard 6 - effort! all i can say, held the ball up knocked it about, had our only decent sort of efforts on goal. everyone gets on his back for the littlest things! stop it Hayles 5 - Anonymous, absolutly creamed a shot wide on the angle, funny Fryatt 5 - little greedy, looked posotive, ran about a lot Chambers 5 - posotive runs, didnt look fully fit, hopefully blossoms this season Berner 4 - odd substitution but... not a lot can be said.
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 Another persn who knows fook all about what they are on about. Howard is playing well, he is winning the flick on's he is being given and asked to do. but fryatt isn't readingthe stiuaton so Howard is having to change his game to suit others. If you think Howard is playing well its you who knows fook all about the game, the national press have given him 5/10 the last 3 games even the Mercury gave him 5 last night, And the game changed last saturday against BR when he went off and Hayles came on, For fooks sake get real this man is being carried by the rest of the team he cant even score againts a Div 2 side and you say fryatt aint reading the situation he did not come on until the second half what was Howard doing in 1st then pulling his p---k.

Howard is being given a job to do, he is being told to win headers hold the ball up and bring other people into the game, and thats what he is doing, butno one is running onto his flick ons. He can't score in this league but he should have 10 goals 6 have been chalked off. I don't see many people getting on Oakly's back and saying send him back to derby. If the MErc gave Howard a 5, everyone else should have got 1, Howard was by far he best player on t.he pitch, unlike the other players he was commited. How many games have you been to this season? or are you a radio and newspaper fan? have you got proof of these ratings for howard?
lildave3 Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 Howard is playing well?? Cock off. And you. People who actually watched the game last night will notice that all our attacking threat in the first half was brought from Howard bringing it down and laying it off, or flicking it on.
davieG Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 You're all just a bunch of ignorant football fans who are unable to spot a top performance when you see one: Well something like that according to Blanderson: It needed some solid play by their top man on the night, Patrick Kisnorbo, to keep the score within bounds. Kisnorbo was one of very few players who could consider that they produced anything up to standard on the night. Although he did end by saying: City never got their passing game going.
Stuliasz Posted 5 November 2008 Author Posted 5 November 2008 Keep the ratings coming in at www.player-ratings.com/rate if you went to the game. Voting closes tomorrow.

Head Honcho Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 Henderson - 6Hobbs - 5 poor but cut him some slack, he us clearly not a right back morrison - 5 Tunchev please Kisnorbo - 4 Hobbs please Powell - 7 did everything he could, deserved better from the other 10 Adams - 5 Oakley - 5 king - 5 Dyer - 4 what's happened to him since 'uddersfield? Howard - 7 never stopped trying. Hayles - 5 Fryatt - 5 chambers - 6 Kisnorbo probably has him on Block!

Flick ons i thought he was supposed to be a striker, chalked off do you mean whens hes been offside if you do thats the players fault and as for Oakly hes another overpaid overated as been, I missed the first 3 home games due to having a op in Glenfield and yes i do listen to the moan in on RL and i do read the newspapers and also the Beano.I take it you are Howard lover but tell me this its only just over 12 months ago he was with a premiership team tell me how many CCC would take him.
Joe. Posted 5 November 2008 Posted 5 November 2008 Bloody hell, Howard can't be criticised these days. People have been brainwashed into believing he plays well in every game, and let's face it JoeyB, your rating of 8 for him is laughable. I'll definitely give it to him that he was just about our best player in the first half along with Morrison (which wasn't difficult), and he was showing the difficulty he provides to defenders. He must have won a good four or five key headers that half that set up attacks. But what happened to him in the second half? He was absolute dogshite. I don't quite know how he didn't get one of his shots in particular on target at least, and some of his other efforts were poor. I don't really know what to think about him at the moment. I feel sorry for him because he really is made an unfair scapegoat by a large proportion of our fans, but he doesn't help himself at times. However, he's hardly helped out by his own team mates either.
