Falling asleep at work

Is there a fire alarm?

Set it off and then assemble at the predesignated point.

You won't get any sleep, but hey, it's better than working.

Fire alarm drill was on Monday. :(

Ironic thing is, i asked for this day off but the c*nts wouldn't let me.

The only reasonable thing to do is to develop a 'migraine' - leave work.

And get back on the sauce.

I usually have a nap at my desk around 3pm.

Two weeks a go was bad, I was doing my last bit of work for the day before having a gander on FT when suddenly I was found face down in my Laptop by my college, who thought I was dead.

I must have been gone for about 25 minutes, but It was heaven.

Something must strike me around 3pm, I just seem to lose my eyes and my brain just switches off.....

Good job I am across the other side of the building from the Boss.

I used to work at an office that had a basement that had floor-to ceiling racking where archive stuff was kept. I regularly used to go down there when hung over, put a couple of files on the floor as a pillow & have a lie-down for half an hour or so on the aisle furthest from the stairs.

People rarely went down there & if they did, they turned the lights on on the way down the stairs, alerting me to their presence so I could then hide till they'd gone

That sounds like heaven right now

I might try the disabled toilet. They’re so luxurious, with the little cushion and everything for added comfort. Plus the cleanliness is usually better

Erm... that wasn't a cushion, that was a disabled person trying to use the toilet in peace.

I'm thinking of making my way to the toilet cubicle to sleep.

Anyone know any other ways of catching some much needed kip while at work?

For all your questions relating to toilet cubicle seating you may want to ask/PM SUAS, he seems to be a pro at it

Kind Regards

Thanks Filbertway19.

I went for a poo earlier, flushed it, wiped, and sat there for 15mins with my eyes shut. I then bought a prawn baguette and chicken sandwich. Now i'm feeling a little better thanks.

Most Fridays I have a nap in one of the toilets as i'm hungover from Thursday nights.

People in the spray shop have been known to have a sleep in the paint store in the past....and been caught.

I don't understand how you can sleep in a toilet.

I woke up on the bathroom floor after a very messy night in Kos back when I was younger and more fun to be with.

I also remember when I used to work in a warehouse, my main jobs were picking stock for 9 hours a day.

Sometimes the picks were slack and we would get them done in a few hours, so I always used to get to Rack D and climb up and have a nap on the pallets, It was cosy, It was out of view from the offices and the best thing was only 4 people worked in the warehouse and we all done the same thing.

I think I have napped in all my jobs.

lol
