Jon the Hat Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 A test case in the EU Courts has seen the Judges condemning the UK DNA Databse laws which allow the police to keep DNA records for people arrested but not charged or convicted of any crime as breach of human right to privacy. Jacqui Smith looking like a fool again
Alexikokopops Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 If you got a conditional discharge years ago where do you stand now? Will they take your details off the database?

breadandcheese Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 It's strange that I'm against closer political integration, and indeed think we've ceded too much power already, yet have Europe to be thankful for, what was clearly an abuse of power. To treat innocent people in the same way as criminals, retaining DNA on a big brother database is clearly a breach of privacy and liberty.
