lavrentis Posted 7 December 2008 Posted 7 December 2008 Do people still use IE ?It is garbage. Exactly, firefox much better. Faster, you can customize it and it is more stable (crashes less often than IE).
Daggers Posted 7 December 2008 Posted 7 December 2008 Any page with word tørrent is banned by some firewall thing Any page with word tor rent is banned by some firewall thing Is this some kind of windup?
potter3 Posted 7 December 2008 Posted 7 December 2008 Is this some kind of windup? No, it's ridiculous. But I can find most stuff hosted on Rapidshare so I'm not too bothered.

AoWW Posted 7 December 2008 Posted 7 December 2008 Any help? Use firefox? (Sorry, haven't read the thread properly - this might be completely irrelevant!)
Daggers Posted 7 December 2008 Posted 7 December 2008 Surely you can list exceptions to allow you to access them? I'd be amazed if you can not alter the default conditions. Any help? Install and run Firefox and/or Safari?
potter3 Posted 7 December 2008 Posted 7 December 2008 Are you sure java hasn't turned itself off? otherwise im sure this has some kind of answer
potter3 Posted 7 December 2008 Posted 7 December 2008 Surely you can list exceptions to allow you to access them? I'd be amazed if you can not alter the default conditions. It's not the firewall that came with my computer, I think it's one built into the router for this building or something. I'm a bit stupid when it comes to these things

I realise where the firewall is, I just assumed you were accessing from home.
Alexikokopops Posted 7 December 2008 Posted 7 December 2008 Had this problem on both IE and Firefox last week. Started working again after a couple of days.
