Sir Fynwy Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 Charming little website, but couldn't find the pricelist? Is it expensive? Would make a fine present for TPH from the FT collective.... It's about £20.99 a bottle + £5.50 p&p. As a rough guide, the stronger the gin is the better the taste, I usually go for 45% and up gins.

Ric Flair Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 Bombay Sapphire is the gin of choice.Everyone raves about this Tanqueray stuff - should I try? I had several gins on shift last night, then had a shit load of wine after. Don't feel me sunday best this morning. 2 hours late for work and i've just found some curry in my pocket, now I have a yellow hand. I look like i've got partial jaundice. Tanqueray is a great Gin. When I went the Dominican Republic last year, that was the standard Gin that we had in our all inclusive hotel. Suffice to say, I lapped it up.

Ric Flair Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 Curry in your pocket? You're an absolute animal, mate! How about taking me to the Dominican Republic this year? Yeah, I have a vague recollection of not finishing my curry and not wanting to leave it either, so stuffed a bit of sag paneer in my pocket. It would be an honour mate, what dates are you free?

Monk Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 Bombay sapphire for me.... only the best. I do like it with tonic, though this summer my housemate and I came up with an interesting concoction, gin sours. Basically you juice a few granny smith apples and a lime and add gin. Superb.
Ric Flair Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 I like the sound of that Monk. My favourite tipple with gin, is a Gin and Steven Clemence. Double Gin Bitter Lemon Orange Juice
The People's Hero Posted 12 December 2008 Author Posted 12 December 2008 I like a classic G&T. I'd be up for trying more though. I'm not going back to my bloody mary stage after a bit of a bizarre few days on the stuff.
Ric Flair Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 Sloe Gin is evil. Shit, yes. I forgot about that stuff, smells like vinegar.
The People's Hero Posted 12 December 2008 Author Posted 12 December 2008 Sloe Gin is evil. I've not had the pleasure.
fox123 Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 Shit, yes. I forgot about that stuff, smells like vinegar. My dad used to make it when I was younger, willy puller used to make us go and pick the bloody things an all. I remember one year my sister and her mate decided to skive a day off school, they opened a bottle of Sloe Gin, when I got home from school there was blood every where. My sister had thrown her mate down the stairs,

I was a bit sloe (gin - yum! ) to discover this thread. Tanqueray is ok, but I wouldn't abandon the Bombay Sapphire in favour of it. I had a bottle of Clementine-flavoured gin once - that was lurveeely.
