dandannieldanok Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 Wonder what Fergie will say if Friedel keeps a clean sheet at Man Utd next week now his appeal has been successful If Man Utd don't score then I think Fergie will be moaning at lot more at his players than the decision to rescind Friedel's red card. Overrated keeper imo, definitely beginning to show his age, Gerrard's free-kick case in point.
LeicesterFan10 Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Villa still a great team, a shame they dropped off like that.: "Laursen can compete with Ferdinand, Vidic, Terry, Carvalho, Gallas, Carragher, Skrtel? **** off." ---------------------------- earlier in the thread, your reverting to Laursen as average.. 60% won with Laursen playing, 28% when Laursen's missing. Yeah obviously not one of Villa's best players...he's captain for a reason.
BoneDog Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Villa have done great things this season. O'Neill is a football genius, without him they wouldn't be in this position. If it weren't for this awful run they been on they would be top four. Laursen is defo missed. I'm hoping they get in there next season but losing Barry will be a big blow. But I wouldn't bet against O'Neill bringing in another midfield maestro. He made our midfield the best in the country. I'm sure our midfield players won more tackles than anyone in the Premier in the late 90's (even more than Viera if I remember right). I have never liked Villa but will love O'Neill forever so I wish them success while he is their manager. When he leaves I will revert to disliking them.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Please Villa, lose tomorrow! Send Newcastle down!!
dandannieldanok Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Please Villa, lose tomorrow! Send Newcastle down!! I hope Villa win personally, can't stand Phil Brown thinking he's a big-time charlie in the premier league, he moans even more than Ferguson. I would find it absolutely hilarious if they went down after their start to the season. I want Newcastle to go down as well, but imo Phil Brown is a bigger cock than anyone at Newcastle, and that includes the 50,000 geordies that think they have a divine right to be in the premier league.

This. Phil Brown is an arrogant cock, but their fans have become more irritating. They genuinely believe they've become a big club now, in spite of this being their first season in the top tier. Would be the funniest thing this season if they went down.
lcfc_jme Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Hull were poor apart from the 15 mins towards the end of the game. Villa never got out of 2nd gear and looked distinctly average. Oh, and other than the John Carew song, Villa Park is an absolute library.

lcfc_jme Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 And the numerous verses of 'My Lord.' Hardly loud, though? Probably a few lads at the back of the Holte. It's the equivalent of the back 2 or 3 rows in SK1 singing and it being heard faintly, but not really carrying.

lcfc_jme Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 It was the first time. Not the numerous you first claimed, then?? Seriously, Villa are massively over-hyped, and I'm not suprised they fizzled out in the race for 4th place, or laboured to victory tonight.

Ultra Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 MON has blotted his copybook a bit this season, first with the UEFA Cup fiasco and then by sticking with players who are woefully out of form. Some of his signings (Knight, Davies, Luke Young) have also been shown to be out of their depth.
Tommeh Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 Bit quiet in here now isn't it? Roll up, roll up get back up their arses.....
dandannieldanok Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 Still can't believe that they signed Heskey, and even more so that most on here thought he was good value at £3.5m
