Lovejoy Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 You have to admire MON for the squad he is creating. I would have loved him to of been England manager, but then Capello is doing a decent job. I wish we could go back to capping foreign players, maximum of 4 on the field at anyone time. MON is practically Capello's number 2 . Fine signing for Villa imo, wonder if Harewood will depart now?
Nick Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Heskey now has his Owen. And MON is in for Owen also as well as Emile..... really. Now that'd be a good bit of business.
Jon the Hat Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 And MON is in for Owen also as well as Emile..... really. Now that'd be a good bit of business. Hmm. One of them, good move, both? Maybe a step too far. Gabby can play that role, and to put him aside for Owen would be a bad move in the long run.
Lovejoy Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Personally I'd rather have Agbonlahor than Owen.
Jonezy Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 I'm getting Agbonlahor for my fantasy team now.....
ASH17LCFC Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 Yeah good to see the mighty Villa win today CHAMPIONS LEAGUE :crylaugh:
Anish Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 Yeah good to see the mighty Villa win today CHAMPIONS LEAGUE :crylaugh: What's the FA Cup got to do with the Champions League? Villa could lose to Doncaster yet still make the top 4.
Ultra Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 MON is practically Capello's number 2 . Fine signing for Villa imo, wonder if Harewood will depart now? Where to?
JakeShingler Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 Yeah good to see the mighty Villa win today CHAMPIONS LEAGUE :crylaugh: Yeh Man Shitty are flying Weres Robinho?
fox123 Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 Yeh Man Shitty are flyingWeres Robinho and Kaka?
FilboFox Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 Have to admit I really like Aston Villa too... MON is there, they have a quality English based squad that are flying high and challenging for the title for now! It's great to see! Can't say I like Agbondlahor that much though... don't get me wrong, he's a quality player... it's just him... he gives the impression that he's one of those arrogant yob/chavy types that loves himself way too much... but he's still an amazing footballer though.
Ultra Posted 27 January 2009 Posted 27 January 2009 I'm sure O'Neill will sort that out soon enough. Agbonlahor's record this season speaks for itself. He's the best young English striker in the Premier League.
Darkzzz_ Posted 27 January 2009 Posted 27 January 2009 I don't like to dish a lot of praise out to other clubs but Villa do deserve it, Martin has got a great squad there and he will do wonders. It is great to see a (mostly) English team do well.
Phube Posted 28 January 2009 Author Posted 28 January 2009 Nothing if not cheeky!! Aston Villa want to sign Newcastle striker Michael Owen on a free (Mirror)
JakeShingler Posted 28 January 2009 Posted 28 January 2009 Nothing if not cheeky!! What a deal that would be.
Phube Posted 29 January 2009 Author Posted 29 January 2009 5 points clear of 5th. Big four my arse!!!
Corky Posted 29 January 2009 Posted 29 January 2009 5 points clear of 5th. Big four my arse!!! I really used to dislike Aston Villa, there was always a warm glow when we beat them, but now, with a great manager, quality team and chairman, they're definitely likeable again.
