syston_fox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Very good film and highly recommended. I'm not a fan of Jim Carrey normally but I thought he played the role really well and it's well worth checking out if you have some time over x-mas. Oh and if you've read the book by Danny Wallace then clear it from your mind - the films nothing like it at all and I don't think the two stories were even remotely similar. (Spot the cameo appearance from Danny Wallace if you do go )

No guru on the bus though <_<
Libertine Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Danny Wallace is God, but this looks lame. Except for Zooey.
Alexikokopops Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 that's a shame because I totally loved the Danny Wallace book infact all of his books are side splitting funny still might go and see it though I'm actually pretty glad it's not like the book. It would've annoyed me because it probably would've been a crap version of it. I don't mind if they take the concept and balls the film up. God I love the book. I literally lol'd constantly while reading that.

I love the book so much, it's my holy grail when i've become a bit of a coont and need to sort myself out. Worried about seeing the film and spoiling the regard I have ferrit.
The People's Hero Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 It is indeed a top book. I shan't be watching the films because I suffer from filmophobia. It's a rare condition.
