Hunt moves to Mclaren

After a very poor showing from for the Arrows team, Andy Hunt transfers to the Mclaren team. "We're exciting to have Andy onboard. He's won Tittle in the past and we hope he can do it for us. We expect this to be a long term deal and for him to stay here for a few seasons too. Hunt is partnered by Paul Hills who transfers after a moderatly sucsesfull year at Ligier, but only making 9th place in the Championship. The two drivers have worked before and are also good friends off the racetrack. "Its a formula for sucsess" said Ron Dennis, Team Manager.

In early testing the Mclaren car has looked reasonably quick and they are expected to be Challenging for race wins if maybe not the Tittle.

With Damon Hill deemed surpless to requirements following his Championship victory last year, and Jacques Villnerve considered too drunk to drive, Williams have plucked the talented Cook and Matius from the ever popular Bat 7 Series to drive for them in the forth coming championship.

Cook and Matius proved a succesful duo in that series, finishing high in the standings just behind their nemis Louth, who has interestingly taken over from Schumacher at Benetton.

Louth is joined by the inigma that is Jake Shingler. Jake was dubbed as the inigma due to his fantastic performance in warm up's, being almost 4 to 5 seconds quicker than the field, yet being suprsingsly un-competitve in race and qualifying situations last season.

Frank Williams hopes the duo can bring continued sucess to the Williams team and had this to say;

'I'm delighted by our signings of Cook and Matius, both of them have proven potential, they're hungry for sucess and they're fast, very fast... faster than me down a very steep hill!'

But with an ever improving Mclaren team, driven by Hunt and Hills, the always competitive but sometimes un-reliable Ferrari's, and a host of other contenders for the title, it certainly won't be plain sailing.

'I just want to qualify well, stay out of trouble, pick up points, and win a few races, but saying that is a lot easier than doing it' laughed Cook, when asked about his chances. 'Clearly this car has the potential to be quick, so my closest rival could be the guy in the same car as me! But I'm fine with that, and will do all I can to help Jovan, and I'm sure that will be recipicated.'

Jovan added 'we're strong on our own, but much stronger together. As gay as that sounds, it's something we belive in and only time will tell if that brings us success.'

However the relationship didn't seem as harmonius as there interviews wanted us to believe, as an argument at the back of the padock between Cook and Matius over a Mocho Choco Molto Late was spotted by a Journalist.

What the season holds for these two, only time will tell.

Jupp: 'He's just getting desperate for success' :ph34r:

Formula Foxestalk driver Ashley Jupp has joked today that fellow driver Andy Hunt is 'getting desperate for success' and has confirmed that he, along with Chris Louth and Adrian Shen, were originally denied access to the Series 12 game after quitting the Foxestalk clan recently.

'I think they want us out...which is a shame really. Clan members or not, the three of us are as much Foxestalk as anyone else in the clan. Because we aim to better ourselves by belonging to more lively and ambitious clans shouldn't really mean people want us out the Foxestalk competitions.' Since leaving the Foxestalk clan a short while ago, Jupp has climbed almost 200 places in the world rankings. 'The stats don't lie, and I still see my decision to leave the clan as a good choice for me.'

'The attempt to deny us entry, or at least a decent car was pretty feeble to be honest...I found out the details quickly anyway and was soon on board.'

'I can't understand the thinking though...trying to remove the two most recent champions in Chris and Adrian... :unsure: ' Jupp went on, 'I think most of the other drivers would rather it be a little members-only party, but they can all sod off really...having more participants makes it more competitive anyway, despite the fact that in Chris and Adrian you get probably the best of the drivers.'

Reflecting on his earlier comment about Mr Hunt, Jupp explained that 'he's been having a few weak seasons...this was surely just an attempt at improving his chances at glory this season'.

Jupp has signed up for his much favoured Ferrari team, along with Ben Stapleford. 'I've never teamed with Ben before, and looking forward to it'...he continued, 'I can see people wanting to target their aggression towards the non clan-members this season...although I know who my aggression will be aimed at.'

Jupp's formerly least liked driver, Martin Southam, is rumoured to be missing this series.

Have got an Idy car slot if anyone fancies exploring with me.

I was just looking at the Indy car's but chose LMES instead. lol And that took up my 4th slot.

Can't we start now, we've got 12 people, everyone has a partner and I don't see anyone else joining...
