Corky Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Shay Given is one of the best keepers in the Premier League. You have to feel for him, conceded five yet still made some class saves.
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Shay Given is one of the best keepers in the Premier League. You have to feel for him, conceded five yet still made some class saves. Absolute class this guy. Some of them saves he made were top draw.
Uncle Albert Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Absolute class this guy. Some of them saves he made were top draw. The save from Kuyt's shot was unreal. Wasted at Newcastle.
Corky Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 The save from Kuyt's shot was unreal. Wasted at Newcastle. You have to admire his loyalty. Despite the fact he is too good for that club and continually given crap defences, he seems to care a great deal about Newcastle. He'd fit in at a top 4 club, definitely. I wish he was English.
DB11 Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Should be 5-1 How the fcuk did you get that right?
Uncle Albert Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 How the fcuk did you get that right? He was going the amount of chances in the first half. Yea Given must love Newcastle alot to stick with them for this long to be honest but if he was to leave Newcastle for a top four team I think Arsenal is the only team he would get into.
Brainy Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 You have to admire his loyalty. Not 'alf as much as you have to admire Steven Harper's loyalty.

Probably Man Utd too, between him and Foster. Van der Sar is past it now, yet he's been given a contract extension
Corky Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Not 'alf as much as you have to admire Steven Harper's loyalty. Ah yeah, him too. Newcastle have got loyal keepers.
Uncle Albert Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Probably Man Utd too, between him and Foster.Van der Sar is past it now, yet he's been given a contract extension Ow ah yea Yanited next season. If he stays at Newcastle he will fall into that great player never to have won a trophy category.
filbertway Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 The save from Kuyt's shot was unreal. Wasted at Newcastle. The one where he just stood up?
Uncle Albert Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 The one where he just stood up? The one he through himself at yea. The one he took in the face to keep the score 0-0 yea.
filbertway Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 The one he through himself at yea. The one he took in the face to keep the score 0-0 yea. Pretty standard prem goalkeeping I would say. Not saying it's not a good save, because it is, wouldn't call it unreal though. I think he'd have been dissapointed with himself if he didn't stand up though that's all. It's one of them you think, yeh that was an alright save but I'd I'd have been gutted if I went to ground.
The Blur Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Was wondering whether Keane was dropped or rested? Thought he could have started and grab some goals seeing that he has been on a fire lately
