...tho we did get snow on new years eve - midnight, fireworks lighting up the entire fjord and some very good champagne, was definately worth going outdoors for!

Well it's quite thick 7.5 miles south of Grantham. Going to be like an ice rink tomorrow with it going down to minus 10 in these parts potentially.

had to scrape a load of Ice Snow stuff off the car window this morning but in general it was full on meltage on the way to work at 8 this morning so very disappointing, nothing much left now

You have my sympathies, go 7.5 miles south down the A1 and you'll see a load :thumbup:

that's the best thing here, that when it does snow, it stays, although it often freezes, so you can have a few hours snow and you have lethal ice everywhere for the next two weeks...

katy: it's been -10 here all week and the rivers and some of the sea is frozen, good luck, i know how well prepared everyone in england is for the winter :giggle:

Yeah I know we are a bit shit but it's not been -10 for a while in these parts. Although it was -8 where my mum lives in Wales the other night.
