Collymore Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 Matt Fryatt is proving a real sharp-shooter for Leicester City this season. That's probably because his eye for goal is being kept in tune by his hobby of clay-pigeon shooting! Foxes striker Fryatt fell in love with the sport on a pre-season bonding trip where shooting was one of the activities. And now the 22-year-old striker can regularly be found out in the countryside training his sights on something wildly different to Coca-Cola League 1 defenders. Fryatt said: "I've been going regularly ever since the pre-season trip. "I even went with a few mates on my 21st birthday. "Once you start getting into it, there are different variations and styles. "One is called the Rabbit, where they fire a clay across a hill, replicating the way a rabbit runs. That is quite hard. "There's another one called the Bird, where it's fired into the sky. "If I started taking it more seriously I'd need a gun licence. That's quite expensive so I'm not sure I'd do all of that just yet." Fryatt doesn't think his team-mates are ready to join him on the clay shoots. He added: "They are happy enough on their Playstations. "I don't know whether they'd be able to handle the real thing!" The licence costs £50 :crylaugh: :crylaugh:
Cat Burger Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 Haha what an old dad he is. Good on him though, I'd love to have that hobby but I'll stick to pro evolution pigeon shoot 12 on my playstation.
