Obviously areas need strengthening for a return to the championship and we shouldnt expect major miracles next season, but its nice to dream of a second sucessive promotion

Obviously areas need strengthening for a return to the championship and we shouldnt expect major miracles next season, but its nice to dream of a second sucessive promotion It still beggar's belief that we did sufficient daft things to get relegated last season but with a much more stable team, infinitely better team spirit and a manager who's not noted for doing daft things, we'd survive quite comfortably. That doesn't mean we don't need to improve considerably to have a chance of promotion next season or the season after - assuming we get into The Championship.

Our main aim for next season has got to be to avoid relegation back to League One.

Referring to the first post about us "playing like this" I was basing my view on us using the same team asd today. Of course there will be changes but you don't need a crystal ball to know that Pearson would still believe in a settled side with basically round pegs in round holes and no nonsense.

crazylegs1984 Posted 22 February 2009 Posted 22 February 2009 i would love nothing more then to say yes we would survive but once this season is over and we are promoted (sighs holdin my breath) we are gonna lose a chunk of players (loanees) granted hopefully mandaric will put his hand in his oh so deep pockets and sign a few hobbs , martin , gilbert and we can watch them grow into the killers i hope they will be and maybe a few more signings then yes we will survive hopefully mid table but before that happens lets get promoted and enjoy winning the league i hate saying it but yes we can do it and probably will but heres to this season and hopefully next season we will see more joy !!!!
