davieG Posted 27 April 2005 Posted 27 April 2005 as more than a squad player. Tiatto picked up his 15th booking of the season on 82 minutes after a deliberate handball and will now miss the last game of this season against Plymouth and the first two matches of next term. A stupid hand ball brought about by his hesitation on the ball, you cannot manage a successful team with liabilities like that as a key part of your squad.

When he's performed, we've looked a better team.
Ric Flair Posted 27 April 2005 Posted 27 April 2005 I'd rather us try and get rid of him and sign Commons from Forest instead. Now he is a good player.
Katy Posted 27 April 2005 Posted 27 April 2005 Tiatto has totally knobbed me off in the past few months, with his constant wandering out of position, mega amount of bookings and rash challenges, hes a bloody liability!

Neither presents a strong case for having him as first choice, a slightly less able but reliable option would be preferred by me, especially if I was running the show or it was my business involved.

On the pitch he does have his moments of excellence but seems to roam all over the place, im not sure whether he's been asked to do this by cl or he gets frustrated out on the wing, i personally would like to see him in the centre of midfield. i find it astonishing that he is the captain what kind of example is this to the rest of the squad.

He is far too reckless and stupid and is far from the reliable captain that one expects. However, I think when he plays well he does lift the rest of the team. There's nothing better as a fan than watching a player run half the length of the pitch to win a crucial tackle. He does that more than any other player in our team and that's what makes me like him. But it's all about weigher up the pros and cons, and in my view I still think he's an important player in our first team.
Guest Posted 27 April 2005 Posted 27 April 2005 When he's good, he's very very good, and when he's not he's a liability. I think his recent performances have been far from great.

Little Nicky Posted 27 April 2005 Posted 27 April 2005 He'll still win Player of the season though! Ah well, he wont figure if hes here next season anyway!
stez Posted 27 April 2005 Posted 27 April 2005 there was several occations last night when the ball should of been slung out left, but jordan had to stay back and tiatto was off on a walk about so any attack came to nothing

step Posted 27 April 2005 Posted 27 April 2005 When tiato is captain, he lifts the whole squad, he does lead by example. I know he aint brilliant, he is a liability and he does seam to get side tracked all over the field, but surely CL has told him to do that.

Something evryone should consider is that we've played the last couple of games without natural wingers on either side, the play seems to have been concentrated down the middle, hence, Tiatto's wanderings from the left wing may be a natural outcome of the formation?
C-man Posted 28 April 2005 Posted 28 April 2005 What has happened to him over the last few months? He's slow on the ball, shown by when he lost the ball leading up to dabizas' red card v cardiff and his stupid handball v derby. He doesnt know the left from the right of the pitch and when he decides to wander off to the right he leaves our left back exposed. Yes, he works hard for the team but he is just not the right person to have on when we are trying to hold onto a lead. Please CL, see sense and get rid of him and bring in someone like Kris Commons from Forest.
