Koke Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 Just to satisfy my unhealthy curiosity I did some research whoring on RAWK to find out bits and bobs about this kid. Thats sad. He was the best passer of ball among all our youngsters. He is not in Lucas mould but I'll say in Alonso mould. he has good passing range but is slow in movement. But definitely he has got quality in his passing/vision and delivery. Best luck to the Lad. I hope its to do with him being homesick and wanting to move to his homeland since he was rated very highly by LFC coaches. Same here, looked composed and can pick a pass whenever I have seen him.Strange one Astrit has good technical ability but by looking at him, you could see that he would have a problem with a up tempo game. Shame. I thought Ajdarevic looked like a good young player. I am overseas so the only bits i see are on.tv but of all the youngsters this lad just seemed to be head and shoulders above the others in terms of class. I know we have a great midfield and this guy is just a kid but i would like to see us put in a buyback clause in any contract much like we did with Barraghan. OK, so not much detailed info about the guy but the general impression I get is that he got skills and vision and can definitely play, not the quickest of players and got problems with adjusting to the required tempo at Liverpool. And plus has got a bit of a shit attitude. These quotes are from 2008, by the way, when he was told he could leave.
Finnegan Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 The more I see and hear the more he strikes me as a little King-like. I had high hopes at first but he sounds like another slow, strolling midfielder with a few passes up his sleeve.
jonw88 Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 Lovely hair. Sign him up. Can we call him Astrid instead then?
Joe. Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 A couple more from the Liverpool view: (more recent) I always thought he (Ajdarevic) looked pretty decent but going to Leicester probably is a good career step. On Ajdarevic, he is potentially a good player. I liked him, he was kind of in the Lucas Leiva mould, excellent passer, very composed with good vision and delivery. Rumour has it the reason we're getting rid of him was he has a *****ty attitude. He wasn't happy about not playing enough and had a fallout with our U-18s manager, was told to leave. So basically you'd be getting a good player with attitude problems. Control him and you'll be happy with him. Sounds fairly promising.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Hopefully he can sort out his attitude problems. Seems like the main gripe he's had at Liverpool is lack of appreciation, and Pearson and his team have always struck me as good man managers.
