City Lad Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Leicester have taken Liverpool youngster Astrit Ajdarevic on trial, skysports.com understands.Ajdarevic is looking for a new club after being informed he will not be offered a professional contract by Liverpool . The 18-year-old has failed to make the breakthrough into the first team at Anfield despite helping the Reds win the FA Youth Cup in his first season at the club. A number of clubs have had a look at Ajdarevic in the last few months and now Leicester have decided to cast an eye over him. The Swedish winger featured in Tuesday's reserve team friendly against an English Colleges XI and he will be hoping to impress Foxes boss Nigel Pearson as he looks to secure a move to the League One leaders. Legend_in_blue Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Link Which side does he play? Right would suit us. We need to strengthen down that side for next season without doubt.
MPH Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 If he is being released as an 18 year old and has had trials at other clubs and hasnt been able to secure a deal yet i really hope people are not expecting him to be the next Ronaldo and score 20 goals next season....
Darkzzz_ Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 At least he isn't Hungarian, I would have been very excited had he been.
meadwell5 Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Does anyone have any idea who the other trailist was in the squad, as two listed on OS???

Finnegan Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Kosovar!? Fantastic! Let's hope he's any good. Looks a bit lanky 'dun he? Edit: Nevermind, fook that, he's bollocks on Football Manager.
Uncle Monty Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Hmm i remember hearing good things about a certain youngster - Sappleton?
Hitesh Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Edit:Nevermind, fook that, he's bollocks on Football Manager. Well fech that then! No way are we seeing him in a City shirt!
Frenzied Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 According to a mate of mine, who's an obsessive Liverpool fan, this lad is one of the best players from their youth academy. However, he is meant to have a terrible attitude hence Liverpool wanting rid.
Father Ted Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 He could be a Serb or Kosovan - Serb surname, Kosovan first name so I will remain undecided.
manolo Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 He could be a Serb or Kosovan - Serb surname, Kosovan first name so I will remain undecided. must be a good winger played for the reserves allready this morning looks promising lets get the foxes to the top where they belong
Finnegan Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 He could be a Serb or Kosovan - Serb surname, Kosovan first name so I will remain undecided. What the hell are you on about? What does it matter whether or not he's an ethnic Serb or an ethnic Albanian? He was born in Kosovo and plays for Sweden.
AjcW Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Played in a trial match this morning. little bit late bert . Thats what this threads about. Its in the first post.
BlabyFox Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Are you Zsolty, Are you Zsolty, Are you Zsolty in disguise?
Babel Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Think he plays right side He's a left footed centre midfielder, apparently he's got this bad attitude which is why he wasn't promoted to our reserves this season. His talent is not in question though. He's a fantastic passer of the ball and scores his fair share of goals. He's been on trial at Stuttgart, a few other clubs in Germany, Holland and was playing for Blackburn reserves a few weeks back.
Finnegan Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Are you Zsolty, Are you Zsolty, Are you Zsolty in disguise? Er, because he's foreign and a midfielder? Behave. Let's hope Nige can sort him out then. Be fantastic if all we've heard is true and not just hype.
StanSP Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Um if he turns out to be as good as Tunchev was then If not, <_<
BlabyFox Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Er, because he's foreign and a midfielder? Behave.Let's hope Nige can sort him out then. Be fantastic if all we've heard is true and not just hype. Well lets see how good he is and if he makes an impact, eh?
Calum McDermott Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 If he's good enough then im sure Nige will sign him so we will have to wait and see but i doubt it very much that nige would put up with bad attitude. Anyone know who the other trialist is? Knowitall?
