Calum McDermott Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Nah doubt it's him. Don't think he plays football much. Absolute Joker
DanTheFox07 Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Seem`s like nigel pearson wants to start looking at players for our squad as early as possible now. Good idea looking at players from the top clubs from the premiership and can`t complain at the fact liverpool becoming a feeder club to us, I would like us to look into the the idea of getting martin and hobbs, but I dont think wenger will let gilbert go. This guy looks an intresting prospect lets see how committed this guy is to getting a contract with us, could be a great find? only time will tell.
RAFRUDY Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Looks a bit like patrick berger.....be good if he has his talent!
Babel Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 I've searched my computer for some clips of Ajdarevic in action for you's, I could only find some goal highlights of a game he played for our u18s this season. He is involved in 3 of our goals, scoring a good goal and a nice assist. It's 20MB, I couldn't cut down the file size in windows media as it kept changing the screen ratio on me. If anyone wants it just let me know and i'll message you a sendspace link as it has it's download limits.

Alexikokopops Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 just watched the highlights Babel mentioned. He looks tidy enough on that. I'm pretty sure we all said similar things about Kaebi though. Interesting to see Lauri Dalla Valle get a goal, what are your hopes for him Babel? I remember signing him as a 14 year old about two Footy Managers ago and him leading my Crystal Palace team to Champions League glory. Hero.
iancognito Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Nevermind, fook that, he's bollocks on Football Manager. He's better in goal than he is at long throws and is severely lacking in match fitness. Sign him up!

He's been excellent for our u18s this season, great finisher and he's pretty good outside the box aswell. It's difficult to get your hopes up about young players at our Academy though as it has produced little to nothing in 10 years and those that do come through don't get much of a chance. Everyone rates Dalla Valle at the club though, he signed a professional contract a few months back and just made his reserve team debut tonight.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 If he is being released as an 18 year old and has had trials at other clubs and hasnt been able to secure a deal yet i really hope people are not expecting him to be the next Ronaldo and score 20 goals next season.... If the people at the club shop have problems with Lloyd, god knows how they'll cope with Astrit Ajdarevic. I know it's obviously about quality, and whether or not he impresses in this trial, but from the looks of him, I just want him to sign already. I've more faith in Pearson / Walsh to get signings right than I did any other manager of recent years.

We get excited every time and nothing. The bottom line is simple - if they're not worth any money at eighteen, they can't be that impressive.

I know, that's why I said it's about quality, having faith in Pearson's judgement etc, etc. The man has long hair! Must have something about him to have been a part of that Youth Cup side as well. Wishful thinking.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 Roo foxes rule # 17: Never sign a player, when you can't pronounce there name

The one quote I thought was interesting reading his profile on the Liverpool website was the bit about them being allowed to have a couple of over 18s in the squad and picking him as one of them while he finds a new club. They obviously think he'll help the accademy side progress so it would sound like he's better than whoever else they have playing in attacking midfield. Sounds like wishful thinking though, really.
Lillehamring Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 the interesting, or rather the positive thing for me about this, is that there seems to be a confidence in his ability, and only doubts over his attitude...yet if he is prepared to go on trial at a L1-cum-CC level team, he must be reasonably prepared to slum it a bit, which says quite a lot about his attitude... i'm guessing it's the thought of working with pearson, he seems to have a certain charisma...

Alot of personnel seem to rave about our "premiership" quality training facilities. This is a possibility or an incentive to train with us?
Lillehamring Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 Alot of personnel seem to rave about our "premiership" quality training facilities. This is a possibility or an incentive to train with us? yeah, but so do teams in the premiership and in europe, a nice shower is skant compensation for playing leauge 1 footy.... i think it says quite a lot about the lad if he's prepared to slum it at chletenham and southend
Kilworthfox Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 yeah, but so do teams in the premiership and in europe, a nice shower is skant compensation for playing leauge 1 footy.... i think it says quite a lot about the lad if he's prepared to slum it at chletenham and southend He is a lower standards than me then However for that quote to be correct he would have to believe that there is a good chance we are not going up. I think a more likely thing to associate with this lad is that he thinks that we are more than likely to go up and we have few opitions next year for players, therefore if he impresses, he will be in with a decent shout of playing fairly regularly in The Championship?!
Jaspa Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 He looks asif he could turn out to be a decent player.
Kilworthfox Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 He looks asif he could turn out to be a decent player. Not as good as Kaebi
