Lovejoy Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Earlier in the season, we were getting the rub of the green in close games. Now though it seems we don't have the luck. Their keeper today had a blinder, we could have put the game to bed by half time. I'm not saying we played particularly well today, but it infuriates me the way people blow things out of proportion. We were nothing special earlier in the season, it was just we could grind out results and arguably get lucky. Thoughts?

Except, there was nothing unlucky about conceding a goal in added on time just a shear lack of professionalism. Maybe it's not the luck that has deserted us but our concentration, our commitment, our belief that the game is not won until the FINAL whistle goes, our understanding that other teams, no matter how poor they might seem to be will not just roll over and give us the points because we are Leicester City.
Finnegan Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Partially agree. But when you're on a run as poor as ours is at the moment I think you've a right to question your team. I'm not saying the knee jerk reactions people are giving are appropriate, but I do think dismissing it as a run of slightly poor luck is a little naive. Champions tend to make their own luck and it's time, over the next month, for us to do so if we're going to go up on top.
