The fox travel coaches leave at 10am...but I know they are often a lot slower than driving yourself and usually leave with plenty of time. The question is, if I leave at 12pm on the dot, will I get parked up and in the ground in time!? For what it's worth AA route map give a time of 2 hours...

Would have thought so easily, unless you get stuck in traffic. I can usually knock a lot of time off the route finder time.

It's not just the sense of responsibility but the feeling of transporting a form of royalty. A certain quiet, understated dignity is required, offering time for them to wave to their fans as they approach the ground and, even more important, to search out suitable watering holes.

I think either the coaches are going via London, or they have arranged drinking time for the fans. 5 hours to do 98 miles is a but excessive! 2 hours is plenty of time, traffic dependent obviously.

There's a plague of speed cameras on the M42. The Warwick/Stratford/Evesham By-passes is sometimes a more rapid alternative, picking the motorway up near Tewkesbury. Mind you they always have mobile cameras out on Bank Holidays to put everyone in a good mood, a) on one of the Warwick by-pass bridges and b) on the Stratford by-pass near the Snitterfield turn, so be warned.

I was fully aware of Blackfriars end being terracing. <super double pedantry>
