samuel Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 Well as the title states. Haven't we struggled in the past?
Nath Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 Well as the title states. Haven't we struggled in the past? Yeovil was on tele... Won that comfortably. As for early kick off's.. Means nothing.
Tilley Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 As for early kick off's.. Means nothing. Millwall & Peterborough..
Joe. Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 Last early kickoff at home we had was Southend wasn't it? That didn't do any harm...
Thracian Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 I know it's the same for both sides but I still have much concern about teams playing twice in under 24 hours and fully expect to see some injuries as a a result of previously tired limbs being reluctant to rev themelves into action so soon after the trip back from Hereford. Television will presumably help the adrenalin to flow - if they need to be pumped up given the occasion - but I wouldn't be that concerned about the cameras affecting the result - we seemed pretty good when we played Spurs in the Cup in front of the cameras and Crystal Palace the same year in a Friday evening match.

What a game. 2-0 down at half time and then the Hammond & De Vries show!
orod Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 i dont think itl affect the result in the slightest - the attendance will defo be reduced tho - i dont reckon wel get the 30,000 that they're claiming on lcfc.com.

Bollocks! Did I forget to go to the game? Who won?

They used to play on consecutive days at both Christmas and Easter with heavier pitches and clodhopper boots as well as being less fit. Mind you there used to be some weird turn around in results. Before my time like.
Ultra Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 It's the same for both sides. Leeds haven't done too well in early kickoffs either. I seem to remember them losing to Huddersfield home and away, and Peterborough.
tewkesbury-fox Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 Leeds United into Early kick off does not go. Why its the same for both sides its down to who wants it more on the day

Daggers Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 0-0 bore draw then. At this moment in time, I'll take that if that is an option.
Fosse Boy Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 This kick off time actually fits in rather well in my plan to have the perfect Easter Monday...
Daggers Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 This kick off time actually fits in rather well in my plan to have the perfect Easter Monday... You managed to buy that much jelly?
Fosse Boy Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 You managed to buy that much jelly? Enough to fill an Olympic sized swimming pool.
Zorro Posted 12 April 2009 Posted 12 April 2009 I know this is a bit off topic, but the TV bit suits me down to the ground. I live in Tenerife (sad really isn't it) and as I can't be there in person, I hope, some where in the excitement of the teams taking to the field, you could take a bit of time to cheer my grandson who is appearing as the mascot. I will be sat in a bar somewhere here with my chest bursting and a tear in my eye. This will be a dream come true, especially if the lads do the business during the game. http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/news...il/article.html Cheers The proudest grandad in the northern hemisphere, especially at 12.10 Easter Monday

What a dream. I wish him, and all of your family all the very best during the treatment and beyond

But we both played on Saturday, thats not under 24 hours. But i have also noticed that we never fair well from early KO's, Hudds for one, that is my only worry for the game, cos footy wise we will tear you up sorry to say, we have a far better squad than you, even though the table doesn't reflect this, but we do.
