Alexikokopops Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 You can have my space for free if you want. Ooooooh interesting. My marathon schedule has me running 7 miles on that day, it could be a tad early. Might give it a go though

Might give it a go though Just let me know and I'll get it sorted. Definitely the right decision for me to pull out. Did about 7 miles last night and my knee is fucked. Seeing the doctor in about half an hour, I need my knees for the Atlas.
General Smuts Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 For the love of god Marsh get involved i need someone to drag me round. 3 miles was a struggle for me on the treadmill yesterday.
Alexikokopops Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Karl, you'll be pleased to hear that because I ran 9 miles on Sunday I'm thinking of doing this. I was meant to do a cheeky 6 but thought I'd give 9 a go. I haven't really done any proper training for it so I'll be a shambles, but if I can have James' entry for free then what's the harm?

Excellent news. Get involved mate. I'm not aiming for any time at all, just to finish. To be honest it sounds like your in far better shape than me anyway. My hero. <3
James. Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Alex - just rang the Windsor half marathon hotline (08700 342 234) and they told me the deadline has passed for transferring names as apparenly the packs (with your race number, race chip and all that) have already started to be sent out. I asked if I could just give my pack to you but they said if you were found out (not sure how) they would disqualify you. More than happy to post you my entrance pack and you could just pretend to be me for the day (a dream come true for you, no doubt). Let me know.

Yeah, just found this on the website: We are no longer accepting Runner Transfers. As can be read on all the entry forms; Transfers were only allowed up until Friday 28th August or 4 weeks before the Event. Taking someones race number is both illegal and highly dangerous as it can have severe medical implications should there there be a medical incident during or after the event. Anyone who runs with another persons number will be disqualified and will not be allowed to race again in the Windsor Half Marathon. Food for thought...
