General Smuts Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Milan, Madrid, Bucharest, Glasgow and Amsterdam? What's the capital of Italy? And Scotland?
lildave3 Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 What's the capital of Italy? And Scotland? Woopsie. You put Glasgow too!
General Smuts Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Finnan. Yawn Yizzir. I only found this out today.
General Smuts Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Woopsie. You put Glasgow too! I know i looked at yours and doubted myself as i knew Celtic had won it. As i was writing my reply to you i was saying that i had edited mine to include Glasgow then stopped, deleted it and realised how retarded i was being. Muppet.
Bert Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Which two English clubs are the furthest apart yet when they play it is still referred to as a derby? Which team has scored most goals and which team has conceded the most in Premier League history?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Which two English clubs are the furthest apart yet when they play it is still referred to as a derby? Is it Dundee and Dundee Utd?
TrickyTrev Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Benfica have definitely won the European Cup. So Lisbon is one of the cities. Don't think Roma or Lazio have ever actually won it.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Belgrade should be one of the cities too me thinks - Red Star Belgrade must have won it at least once?
Bert Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Yup - Amsterdam - Ajax Belgrade - Partizan Bucharest - Steaua Lisbon - Benfica Madrid - Real
TrickyTrev Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Also I think Middlesborough and Newcastle are like 50 miles apart, but everyone thinks they are really close because they are both up North. Guess it is subjective as to what 'people' call a derby.
Bert Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 That's not the one - Newcastle's nearest rivals are Sunderland.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Yup - Amsterdam - Ajax Belgrade - Partizan Bucharest - Steaua Lisbon - Benfica Madrid - Real Red Star - they beat Marsaille in the final on penalties in 1991. Chris Woods was in goal for Marsaille - I remember that game because Red Star played for penalties for the whole game! I do belive Bazil Boli also played in the game. Apparently Partizan played in the final in 1966, but didn't win.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 That's not the one - Newcastle's nearest rivals are Sunderland. Southampton and Portsmouth - theres 20 or so miles between them according to the AA!
City_4_Life Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Cardiff and Swansea or Ipswich and Norwich. I was going to say the same, i think they are something like 40 miles apart.
Uncle Albert Posted 14 May 2009 Author Posted 14 May 2009 Name the five teams to win the F.A Cup with the letter C.

C-man Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Which two English clubs are the furthest apart yet when they play it is still referred to as a derby?Which team has scored most goals and which team has conceded the most in Premier League history? Ipswich and Norwich - Nearly 45 miles apart. I was going to say Brighton and Crystal Palace, 46 miles and they hate each other.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 So far we have:Terry Butcher (Singapore), Cyrille Regis (French Guiana), John Barnes (Jamaica), Graeme Le Saux and Matt Le Tissier (Channel Islands), Owen Hargreaves (Canada), John Salako (Nigeria), Tony Dorigo (Australia) Luther Blissett (Jamaica) Apologies theres actually 14. There's another South African who i had confused with a tiny CF who played for Chelsea and a former Liverpool RB - long long long serving who was born in Wales. For those of you who have given up you were missing: Brian Stein (South Africa) Rob Jones (Wales), Gordon Hodgson (South Africa) Joe Baker (USA). Colin Viljoen (South Africa) According to the fountain of knowledge that is Wikipedia Joe Baker was born in Liverpool, not the US.
