Fosse Boy Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Picking out Pietersen when everyone around him contributed nothing is a joke. (Bopara excluded of course) I wasn't picking on Pietersen per se, obviously the batsmen who contributed little or nothing to the score are those most at fault, but given the man's match winning potential (which arguably no-one else in that team has) he surely has to take some stick for playing such an irresponsible shot at that time in the innings.
Corky Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 We have enough payers nudging singles as it is. But Pietersen still has enough about him to smash boundaries that the odd nudge won't hurt too much. Know what you're saying though, especially with Wright gone early and no Mascerenhas.
Fosse Boy Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 My only opinion related to Cricket is that Stuart Broad is a tit. Absolute dreamboat.
Fox You Forest Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Mascerenhas couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo, like Milky says he did it once. I lost count of how many times the commentators(especially Nasser) mentioned him, Making out he'd have made a massive difference.
Ultra Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 We didn't quite have the quality. I was never convinced about Collingwood as a captain anyway. Can't see anyone getting near South Africa, unlike the weather intervenes.
dandannieldanok Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Picking out Pietersen when everyone around him contributed nothing is a joke. (Bopara excluded of course) Agreed, all this tournament has shown is that Pietersen is one of very few players that can adapt to different forms of the game in the England squad. Twenty20 may have originated in England, but this tournament has exposed the already widely acknowledged fact that the majority of our players just cannot match the level of other nations.
Milky Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Only nine months until the next 2020 world cup. It'll be here in no time.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Owais Shat = Overrated He's one of the most frustrating players ever!!! Theres times when he looks good plays some exquisite shots and then theres the rest. If he would calm down at the crease he'd probably be a much better player.
Milky Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 New Zealand are gash. Sri Lanka to beat South Africa in the final please.
Fox You Forest Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Awesome for the time zone then For batting too!
Edmund Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Only nine months until the next 2020 world cup. It'll be here in no time. I heard the commentator say that India will have another chance in 9 months. Didn't realise it was another cup Is this going to be a new thing, world cup every 10 months. Can see test match cricket eventually being replaced by this and one days in years to come.

Didn't realise it was another cup Is this going to be a new thing, world cup every 10 months. Can see test match cricket eventually being replaced by this and one days in years to come. I think it's just because the champions trophy (50 overs) got postponed because of troubles in Pakistan. It'll be every two years.
Edmund Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 I think it's just because the champions trophy (50 overs) got postponed because of troubles in Pakistan. It'll be every two years. Oh right. Anyways all good can't wait for the next one. Top entertainment.

Didn't realise it was another cup Is this going to be a new thing, world cup every 10 months. Can see test match cricket eventually being replaced by this and one days in years to come. There will always be an audience for Test cricket - at least here and in Australia and possibly India too.
purpleronnie Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 YEEEESSSSSSS Wanted Pakistan to make it, hoped for a Pakistan v England final. I just hope the windies don't win not because I dislike them, its just if they do win that 28-1 bet I was going to have on them at the start would have paid out and I chickened out of placing it.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 Pakistan do what they've been doing for years. They've consistenly backed there bowlers to defend any reasonable total. Happy for them, they havent played a lot of cricket were beaten in the warm ups and opening part of this tournament. Hope they go on to win it. Boom Boom Afridi's back!!
Ultra Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 Afridi was awesome today with both bat and ball. But Kallis and Duminy threw the game away by not stepping up the pace. The tournament is now wide open.
