Ultra Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 The BNP will be happy. I doubt it, with Bopara, Mascarenhas and Shah in our side. I bet the BNP will be supporting South Africa, just like back in the day.
Bert Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 Serves Dhoni right for opening his mouth saying that we rely too much on KP, where sometimes he might be right, this one has come back to bite him on his bum.
purpleronnie Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 Serves Dhoni right for opening his mouth saying that we rely too much on KP, where sometimes he might be right, this one has come back to bite him on his bum. Wasn't he the top scorer?
Sparky Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 It'll be very subdued... Dhoni messed up their batting order big-time. If he or Yuvraj had come in ahead of Jadeja they may not have left themselves to do in the closing overs. England's game against the Windies could go either way. It may turn on one outstanding individual performance. God only knows what they were thinking with that move , Jadejas run rate was awful for a t20 match
David Guiza Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 Wasn't he the top scorer? Yeah but he was also the captain and made some bad decisions as well as poor wicket keeping.
Bert Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 Wasn't he the top scorer? Who won the game? England or India? Who are out of the tournament? England or India?
WardyisPukka Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 England won by 3 runs , Yuvraj getting stumped was the key , Kp played well again , Broad is the perfect 20/20 bowler , Swanny is just brilliant and Sidebottom actually played well in 20/.20 game , India just didnt get going
Edmund Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 Brilliant game im glad England made me eat my words. I love how this thread has gone from gloom to doom so many times.
Ultra Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 England won by 3 runs , Yuvraj getting stumped was the key , Kp played well again , Broad is the perfect 20/20 bowler Better than Umar Gul or Wayne Parnell? Don't think so. But he has improved massively since his shocker against the Dutch.
Edmund Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 I swear Luke Wright and Stuart Broad were separated at birth. They look very similar.
Brainy Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 Harbhijan's last ball wide of the India innings seems very crucial atm,
purpleronnie Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Alot of people talking about our domination over the windies I hope it doesnt come back to bite us in the ass. Thrash 'em in all those warm up matches then lose when it really matters. It will be tough, we all know who the dangerous players are, if we could knock a couple of them down early on we'll win.
Milky Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Dimi out for Rashid. Only five batsmen then really. Gulp. Fidel Edwards is out though thankfully.
Brainy Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Anybody see the Ryan Sidebottom lookalike infront of Adil Rashid?

Fox You Forest Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Somebody's in trouble, putting the shirts in the washing machine at the wrong temperature and all the letters falling off.
Fox You Forest Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Broad doing what three supposed batsmen Collingwood, Shah and Foster can't.
Sparky Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 I think we can defend 161 but if Gayle gets going early on we could be in trouble if Duckworth Lewis gets involved
purpleronnie Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 I'm sure england will feel they are 20 runs short its an ok score but all those overs with no boundries could be the key factor.
Milky Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 What actually goes through the selectors minds? No big hitters in the middle order. It's so obvious it hurts! Broad put those jelly arms to shame.
