Finnegan Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 No doubt you'll brand me a liar or tell me I'm "kidding myself" but I know far more girls (though fair play most of the women I know are actually intelligent and fairly cultured, not knuckle dragging chavs) that find overly-muscly guys to be a turn off than find it especially attractive. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure most women would prefer someone with a bit of shape, tone and strength to a total bean-pole like me but at the same time - that kind of gross, body-builder look? You're in dreamland if you think that's hot.

All I'm saying to you is that if you go out and actually meet a broad spectrum of women instead of just speaking on their behalf I'm quite confident you'll find just as many who are turned off by those brick walls decorating the front of Men's Health as will drool all over them. And, like I said, I'm perfectly willing to admit I have an unappealing and overly-skinny body, I'm not just trying to defend my own body type. I'm just not blindly of the belief that if I bulk up to look like that I'm going to pull ALLTHEWIMINZ, either.

Health fanatics So someone like Michael Phelps, who is a health fanatic, or any other top sportsman who is concious about their health suddenly becomes unnattractive to women? Take a step back before you start to post and think what your point actually is? You clearly dont have a grasp or the knowledge on the subject in question subject, yet you wade in like most other topics and have your say. Even trying to explain to me what characteristics in men girls find attractive? Brilliant

Most women would rather go out with an intelligent male with a personality and if they had a toned body im sure that would be a bonus but any girl who judges someone on a six pack fook that.

I'm just disagreeing with you. You seem to be of the belief that all you have to do to be attractive to a woman is to be massively mascular. I'm simply saying that you clearly don't know a very varied pool of women if you really believe that to be true. That is all. I've no bodily issues what so ever. I know I'm not especially hunky and I don't care, I'm happy being a skinny guy. I'm certainly not lazy - I'd happily pay more interest in getting active and working out if I had any interest in doing so. I don't. The idea that I know little about the opposite sex because I don't think you have to look like a Men's Health model to pull is obsurd. I'm not "wading in here pretending to know everything about fitness" I'm just disagreeing with you claiming that those guys could get ANY WOMAN. I know I generally tend to be fairly aggressive in threads but the reaction I get from you specifically is just hilarious. They couldnt have their pick of the women just because they have good bodies - as has been said, I think the majority of women take a number of things into account. A good body isnt going to do your chances any harm, but to say they could have their pick of the women is not true. I'm sure you've got friends that have girlfriends you look at and (superficially, based on the way they look), you think 'how the fuck has he pulled her?'. Well, there could be any number of factors, but as the guys friend, I bet you could answer the question yourself...
