Scarby Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 its been a tough ride this year guys, what best fits your EDIT: change cup game to cup run
C-man Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 Unfortunately, the cup run was head and shoulders above the rest of the campaign
Matt Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 Met My Aims At the start of the season I said we we're gonna be an average division 1 side - well we have if anything we've been worse than an average division 1 side. So I wouldn't say we've met my aims, because I was aiming for mid-table/slight battle with relegation but we have met my expectations of this season.

It is pretty poor whats happened this season but at the start of it, I said we'd do what we've done, to be fair I said it partly tongue in cheek, I said it joking, although at the back of my mind it was my true feeling about what was gonna happen, and it did...as I said they have done what I personally expected!
Wellman Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 Shit apart from the Cup Run. 104968 DITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTO <_<
Anish Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 Shameful, we were meant to be the 'big boys' of this division, but were anything but.
cono Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 this season hasn't been as good as most of us wanted it to be from pormotion favourites to to relegation strugglers with 4 or 5 weeks to go was not wot i wanted to happen. overall the season has been shite. AND WE LOST TO FOREST AT HOME
FoxInTheSnow Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 i expected us to have a mid table finish. another promotion with another bunch of old men would not have done the club any good at all, except for the money of course. what levein is doing is stripping away all the crap and money grabers and getting us a team of hungry young players who actually want to play for the club. the summer is going to be very interesting. hopefully levein can find us another hughes, maybury, mccarthy. however much we hate derby, it must be said that they have started again with some smaller name players and played some good football this year. next year, if we can get the right players in, we should hit the play offs.
Chimp Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 Yes, we need a 'Met my expectations' option in that poll, that's the only one that I'd opt for. Same as if you'd ask me how we're going to do next season, I'd be happy with a top 10 finish - as long as I was seeing improvement throughout the ranks, especially the youth squads.
Anish Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 Yes, we need a 'Met my expectations' option in that poll, that's the only one that I'd opt for. 105135 There is a 'met my aims' option, which is effectively the same thing

I'd have aimed for a top 10 finish but expected a middle table finish. Same as next season, I'll aim for a play-off position but expect a top 10 finish.
Nationwider Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 I hoping that when LCFC get round to releasing their season's highlights DVD, they name it "LCFC 2004-2005 Season - Shite Apart From Cup Run". Preferably with a picture of Kevin Pressman sat on his arse a la Preston (home) on the front cover.

A blank cheque from Paul Mace.....maybe not. <_<
Scow Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 The cup run was a nice distraction, however, it's been nothing short of shameful overall. 3 Managers, a high turnover of players, and the inability to convert chances resulting in a pathetic number of draws.
ian27 Posted 8 May 2005 Posted 8 May 2005 Its been a massive dissapointment but only because of the aims put forward and the expectations built up before the season started. Granted its incredibly important for the club to be in the premiership but by looking for quick fixes we were never going anywhere. Hopefully in time this season can be seen as a turning point, where we begin building a strong young team that can learn together, so that when we do go back up we have a settled team and a much better chance of staying in the premiership. Having said all that and feeling optimistic for next season, shite apart from cup run
