I see they are doing a short 45 minute "Football League Weekend" on the Friday before the Boro match but no "Big League weekend 2" on the Monday. Looks like the show on friday is just a review ahead of the whole season and isn't the "Big league Weekend 1". Since BBC have acquired rights does this mean sky have lost rights for the show. They ran it side by side with itv's championship last season but maybe theres a clause in the new contract restricting sky. Would be a shame because that programme was quality. This is probably confusing to read but the big league weekenders amongst foxestalk will know what im on about.

Yeah that has just replaced "The Championship" from ITV. This programme was an hour and a half long and was very in depth. They use to have players and managers in as guests, sure Powell and Pearson both featured on the show last year plus the programme is not biased in coverage of clubs as they usually do three features or so on different clubs each week.

It seems that it has now been renamed "Football League Weekend" and will only be shown the once on the Friday before the weekend as a preview show. Im optimistic the BBC show will be good as it seems Sky are not bothering with doing it themselves and they probably felt they had to with ITV's 'Championship'.
