Uncle Albert Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Why do they call it a cheque ? Why not a yugoslavian !!! Great episode. Caravan is the thinking man's Hugo Sanchez/ash17lcfc.I can't believe they're all still going for him. Because people react differently to you, obviously.
Finnegan Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Jovetic was bloody awesome. Yeah. To be fair, I was only taking the piss out of Wales but in all fairness Montenegro are starting to get some great players. Jovetic and the like are fantastic, obviously Vucinic is world class but I'd not turn down the likes of Simon Vukcevic or Milan Purovic either. Why do they call it a cheque ? Why not a yugoslavian !!! Oh, oops, did we forget to re-ban you?
Radovan's Caravan Posted 14 August 2009 Author Posted 14 August 2009 I find it interesting that a guy of your intellect is so stuck in a one-dimensional thinking. Maybe with genius comes madness equally? Your rant about Serbia being "technically superior" is nothing but a sign of fake national pride, an attempt to make yourself look like you're different to the people around you.Serbia has won sod all in the past and even as the Republic of Yugoslavia, that team never got too far, apart from two appearances in the European Championship final. And you can care as much about "technical" abilities, when you have nothing to be proud of in terms of results (winning), then you're obviously easily pleased. Your current qualification group features Austria (wow!), Lithuania (wow!), the Faroe Islands (wow!), and a poor Romanian side with no recollection whatsoever of its own glorious past. No miracle to win those games at home. And we all know that the FIFA rankings are dubious, to say the least. When you look at the US, for example, who always feature up front, but only due to the fact that they're playing weak opposition on a regular basis, that's no wonder. What a wind-up you are. Though it saddens me to have to admit this, when it comes to the intellect stakes, I am a second rater But, just as Mount Snowdon would look like Everest if you moved it to The Fens (before it sank into the marsh) I can appear a mental Colossus when surrounded by ****** And so it is with Ingerland. Well so-so more like. You don't exactly flatter to deceive, you self delude with triumphs over the Kazaks and the Andorrans and, of course, that first ever win against that 'nation' next door. Easy to look big in a kind group, and a qualifying one at that. Put you in with your footballing peers in the knockout stages of any tournament and it's a case of 'Honey I Shrank The Team.' The reason I constantly ramp up Serbia should be obvious - we are footballing lightweights who can punch like heavyweights. And you are footballing heavyweights with all the powderpuff power of a Fraudley Harrison haymaker and the glass jaw of Frank Bruno. Yet when it matters you think you can mix it with the footballing Tysons, Ali's and Foreman's Until you do something about your abysmal skill levels you will not win another major tournament. Too many strong nations about now all over the planet and FIFA's generous European quota will steadily be eroded. You are more likely to go the way of your neighbours to the north than steal a march on the Spanish, Italians, & Brazilians. And all that you will have to brag about is that solitary triumph in '66 which, more than anything else, is responsible for the ongoing disaster that is the England team.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 We still believe, we still believe we still believe Its coming home, Its coming home, its coming Footballs coming home Tears for heroes dressed in grey No plans for final day Stay in bed, drift away It could have been all Songs in the street It was nearly complete It was nearly so sweet And now Im singing Three lions on the shirt Jules Rimet still gleaming No more years of hurt No more need for dreaming Talk about football coming home And then one night in Rome We were strong, we had grown And now I see Ince ready for war Gazza good as before Shearer ready to score And Psycho screaming Three lions on the shirt Jules Rimet still gleaming No more years of hurt No more need for dreaming We can dance Nobbys dance We could dance it in France Its coming home, its coming home, Footballs coming home
