The Doctor Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 But Scotland are playing now.....and City haven't even kicked off? forgot norway were a couple of hours ahead of us. after the last half hour though i'm glad i did. however it could have been worse, i could have been watching itv.
CosbehFox Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 When I think of Serbia I think of hoofball. I think of dirty racist bastards tbh. You know monkey chants, flare throwing and jibes from players during U21 tournaments. As for us playing hoofball, Capello's attempting to teach them out of it. It's very clear to see.
Mikey Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 Not true and numerous FIFA technical studies demonstrate very clearly that the most obsessive users of the long ball in international tournaments are the national teams of the British Isles. But that's only half the problem your sides have. When you do play on the floor FIFA technical studies also show that the British Isles sides are the least inclined to pass first time (one touch passing). That is the reason why national teams from the British Isles are so hideous to watch and why they consistently fail against highly technical sides. And it gets even worse my friend but first a little story... When your heritage spooks decided that Watneys Red Barrel was an insult too far to the national taste buds and founded The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) as a kind of consumer guerilla movement they came up against a problem they had not bargained for - the consumers. They actually liked the industrial piss on tap at their local. As far as they were concerned 'Ye Olde Bishop's Dildo' was for poofs. It's a similar story with your football. You like all the hoofing, headles chicken running about and rash challenges. All you care about is the result. It's not that you don't like the one touch game it's that you don't really notice it (even when used against you to devestating effect). It's a sad case of pearls before swine. And the game will have long ceased to be the cultural force that it now is before you are likely to change. PS Defoe is light years ahead of Owen. He's quicker, more confident, two footed and can shoot from range. A combination of abominable coaching, loss of youthful fearlessness and injuries have reduced Owen to a shadow of the player he once was - a sad case of accelerated athletic decrepitude. PPS You should know my view on FIFA rankings by now. Technically we are superior to you. The fact that there may well be more Serbs than Ingerlanders in your best club side by the end of this season speaks volumes Probably not.
Samilktray Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 Serbia? What a joke Jermaine Defoe, what a player.

The fact that there may well be more Serbs than Ingerlanders in your best club side by the end of this season speaks volumes What a dickhead you are, how the hell are you technically better than us? Your best player is a bald headed centre half who can lump the ball and is nifty in the air. The fact is there won't be more of your shit players in the United team, now do one.

It would be funny, except you actually believe it to be true which is quite sad really.
James. Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 It's fun to watch everyone take the bait. Caravan is the thinking man's Hugo Sanchez/ash17lcfc.
Radovan's Caravan Posted 13 August 2009 Author Posted 13 August 2009 What a dickhead you are, how the hell are you technically better than us? We are top of our World Cup group - a far more difficult one than yours. The long ball game is unknown here in the Balkans. Not surprising really as you fcukers invented it. Being pig ignorant I guess you have never heard of Charles Reep and Charles Hughes and the FA's coaching bible 'The Winning Forumula' have you? The Norwegians bought it for a time - until they cured themselves of 'The English Disease' (yep that's what it's called here on the 'continent'). It is not an opinion that Serbia are more technical than England - it is a FACT. It is the way we are taught to play. That is why a small, impoverished country like ours can compete at the highest level. It is why we will kick your arses harder than the unmentionables next door did two years ago (and will probably do so again in two weeks time) should you be unfortunate to draw us in South Africa next year. It is also why Vidic, Tosic, Ljajic may well appear for Man Utd this season and equal if not outnumber the native players (Ferdinand, Carrick and Rooney look the only certs). One of the characteristics of the English Disease is that you don't notice that you are doing it half the time. On the replay of the game last night I saw Terry lump the ball forward on at least three occasions yet your fcukwitted commentators remarked on how England now play a 'passing game'. Even if that were true (which it certainly aint) it's what type of passing game you play. Trundling around with the ball for ten seconds before squaring it as an afterthought might be what you consider to be a technical, passing game but nobody outside the UK does. Have a look at Barcelona murdering Man Utd again (and then again and again) and you might just notice something. Now that's the type of passing game that we here in Serbia play - THE ONE TOUCH GAME.
Jon the Hat Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 We are top of our World Cup group - a far more difficult one than yours. Coventry are not in the World cup.
Uncle Ben Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 Serbia, ah I vaguely remember them from the World Cup. Because they lost every game.
BlueSi13 Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 RC does make me laugh, Serbia are nothing. Nobody cares. Awfully sorry and all that. Anyways great to see us dominate one of the supposed better technical teams in Europe whilst keeping the ball on the ground. Though if Holland were to meet Serbia once again, no doubt we'd see how superior Serbia are to us....another 6-1 win to the dutch no doubt BTW all this "technical" bullshit is really beginning to bore me, when it all comes down to it, all that matters in football is the results. End of story.

End of story. Course you find it boring. Most people get bored by things they don't understand. But at least you have pleaded guilty to the charge that you only care about the results. Which is a little ironic looking at England's piss poor tournament record (cause - a distinct lack of 'technical bullshit' )
MC Prussian Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Course you find it boring. Most people get bored by things they don't understand. But at least you have pleaded guilty to the charge that you only care about the results.Which is a little ironic looking at England's piss poor tournament record (cause - a distinct lack of 'technical bullshit' ) I find it interesting that a guy of your intellect is so stuck in a one-dimensional thinking. Maybe with genius comes madness equally? Your rant about Serbia being "technically superior" is nothing but a sign of fake national pride, an attempt to make yourself look like you're different to the people around you. Serbia has won sod all in the past and even as the Republic of Yugoslavia, that team never got too far, apart from two appearances in the European Championship final. And you can care as much about "technical" abilities, when you have nothing to be proud of in terms of results (winning), then you're obviously easily pleased. We are top of our World Cup group - a far more difficult one than yours. Your current qualification group features Austria (wow!), Lithuania (wow!), the Faroe Islands (wow!), and a poor Romanian side with no recollection whatsoever of its own glorious past. No miracle to win those games at home. And we all know that the FIFA rankings are dubious, to say the least. When you look at the US, for example, who always feature up front, but only due to the fact that they're playing weak opposition on a regular basis, that's no wonder. What a wind-up you are.
C-man Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Serbia are shit, racist cunts. Careful Dom, you'll have Father Ted calling you a racist in a minute.
dandannieldanok Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Which is a little ironic looking at England's piss poor tournament record (cause - a distinct lack of 'technical bullshit' ) What, compared to Serbia.........? The only thing I can ever remember about Serbia in a tournament is when Argentina humiliated them 6-0 in Germany 2006, waste of time turning up. But of course Serbia are amazing now, they're too damn technical to suffer more humiliation of such sort this time around.
Finnegan Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Their neighbours are pretty world class though. It takes a fucking premier side to beat the Welsh on this blistering form of ours.
Sparky Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Their neighbours are pretty world class though. It takes a fooking Sunday league premier side to beat the Welsh on this blistering form of ours.

Now that's the type of passing game that we here in Serbia play - THE ONE TOUCH GAME. It's hardly a more difficult group but whatever and you have still lost a game. You can't compete at the highest level you fool, at the last World Cup you lost 6-0 to the Germans. And I'm not being funny you lost to a distinctly average French side in qualifying, yet we were able to go to our main rivals in Group 6 and beat them 4-1 away, so I think it is us who can compete at the higher level out of the two. Comprende? It would be brilliant if we could meet you in South Africa, beating loser's like you would give us a nice confidence boost going through to the second round. Yes they may well appear for United at some point as substitues but Tosic and Ljajic won't be pushing for a permanent place in the United side for a while. Like I said in my previous post your best player is a thuggish centre half who can lump the ball up the pitch, brilliant style 'you' Serbian jabrones have.
Uncle Ben Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Serbian's sound like great people; more enlightened, cultured and inteligent a society as a whole apparently (and humble, modest and contrite too, judging by this caravan guy) just because they pass the ball a bit quicker than us at football. What a place.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Why do they call it a cheque ? Why not a yugoslavian !!!
