Shrenchel Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 ****s sake you shitbags. Owe me 12 quid you eastern bloc ******.
Darkzzz_ Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Quality Messi, love Pedro, would play him over Ibra.
AjcW Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 That youth setup is immense.Bojan, Busquets, Messi, Pedro, Dos Santos. Not to mention those already left (Fabregas etc) PEDRO Interesting you mention dos santos. Leaving absolutely ruined him, should of stayed. Maybe he will develop well in the future who knows.
General Smuts Posted 28 August 2009 Author Posted 28 August 2009 Interesting you mention dos santos. Leaving absolutely ruined him, should of stayed.Maybe he will develop well in the future who knows. Ipswich's finest
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Interesting you mention dos santos. Leaving absolutely ruined him, should of stayed.Maybe he will develop well in the future who knows. He is still only ten.
AjcW Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Ipswich's finest strangest loan move ever that was..... Edit... naa dickov to derby is. He is still only ten. Fair point
General Smuts Posted 28 August 2009 Author Posted 28 August 2009 Seeing that pass by Messi again - fantastic.
Darkzzz_ Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 He was worth watching this game for alone. Ibra could be a big problem, hope he learns how to play as a team player within the next couple of days. He pissed me off tonight. Ah well, good to see them win another trophy.

It was that predator instinct that we lacked tonight really, I miss etoos tap ins after a massive messi or henry run into the box, all i saw tonight was the ball sailing across the six yard box with no one there to tap it in.
acooling08 Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 What a piss poor game. The commentators are absolute twatting messi-shaggers. He did fook all bar a few shit shots and a decent 1-2.
Uncle Albert Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Wasn't impressed with that match at all but all Super Cup Final's are like that, manager's use them as a pre-season friendly. Disappointing.
StanSP Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Wasn't impressed with that match at all but all Super Cup Final's are like that, manager's use them as a pre-season friendly. Disappointing. Seeing last year's final where Scholes tried his best to match Maradona was the most eventful incident from last year's. So yeah, I get what you mean !
Jay Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Messi's lucky there. Just missed his headbutt and Shakhtar player could have easily feigned an injury. knowing platini and the rest of the cockmunchers at UEFA they would have probably charged the Shaktar player for his over reaction to being headbutted!! seriously in light of the Eduardo situation and the way UEFA have got involved then they need to do the same with Messi you can't get away with head butting a player unless of course you are one of the biggest draws in European football like Messi in which case nothing will happen

If nothing happens, it seems like it's double standards for some teams. As you say, Messi shouldn't really get away with something like this.
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 No he shouldn't at all, but it wasn't that bad, I think the majority would have wanted him to be sent off just because of how good he is, a little like Ronaldo really.

StanSP Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 No he shouldn't at all, but it wasn't that bad, I think the majority would have wanted him to be sent off just because of how good he is, a little like Ronaldo really. I don't want him sent off. But that doesn't mean he shouldn' have been. The intent was there for definite.
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 I don't want him sent off. But that doesn't mean he shouldn' have been. The intent was there for definite. Yeah, the intent was there for sure. Just looked at it again now, going by other red cards for similar offences I can now see he shouldn't have been on the pitch after that. A lot of credit to the lad for staying on his feet, he could have easily done what most do and play act to get him sent off. Naughty Leo.

The Shakhtar player for the remainder of the game, not sure who it was, was pretty annoyed at the referee's decisions. And he was at Messi for the rest of it too. Clearly angry at the ref and Messi!

Another thing that annoyed me as well was the camera angles, they kept doing that strange angle when the ball was in the box oh and I felt for Pedro when he scored, the camera just followed Messi. Really like Pedro, very talented.

It was a clear and simple headbutt should have gone straight away and with Platini bleating on again about how Eduardos penalty wouldn't have been given if he had his wish and had extra officials behind the goal then surely the same counts for Messi he should have been off the pitch!! the most shocking thing though is the match report from the BBC which states... Shakhtar captain Darijo Srna was obviously not best pleased at the prospect as he appeared to headbutt Messi in injury time - though the Croatian avoided punishment as Messi was booked for his furious reaction. err were they watching the same game as everyone else, Messi was 100% guilty on this front!! I don't expect any further action because it's Barca and it's Messi sometimes people in this game have to much power
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Yeah fair point, it does happen and it isn't fair at times, there really is no defending his actions here. It isn't just Barcelona though, you could argue that most of the big clubs get away with murder.

That has nothing to do with ITV, both Sky and ITV were using the same camera shot's last night just like they do when they both screen the Champions League Final.
