Jon the Hat Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 The thing that really hit me about the twin towers was that it felt as though this more than any other terrorist attack was on ordinary people who had gone to work and not come home. People like me who worked in an office. I was on a course in London and got loads of text messages telling me what happened. Once that finished I spent half an hour standing outside a TV shop in Shepards Bush with a bunch of other people watching BBC news. The shop people put one of the TV's in the doorway with the sound up. It was a surreal moment.
James. Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 As if the attack wasn't bad enough I had to spend the day in Swindon knocking on people's doors trying to sell them a wall coating for their house. Didn't make many sales that day.
Katy Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I was sorting out a load of things today and came across a Mirror I'd saved from the day after, I was sat there for ages flicking through it. Truly horrific.
purpleronnie Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I've seen a few dvd's on 9/11 and the footage of people falling is something thats truely horrific, one minute they're working at their desks the next minute they are contemplating which way they are going to die, its almost beyond comprehension.
