davieG Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 The Phoenix Four of MG Rover £16mil to prove FA, £30 to £40 mill filched from the business Now they want to waste even more trying to get them banned from running a business. Too little, too late, more wasted taxpayers money and as if they care now they got £10mill each. It's all a smokescreen to make it look like they actually give a fook! So many Politicians chasing their own arses and so many Business high fliers looking to fleece the taxpayer and the workers. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbys...r-MG-Rover.html
stez Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 apparently they only took what they were entitled to, as directors. £2.50 into 9 million each, not a bad piece of business. maybe the union should've stumped up the tenner instead of carping from the sidelines, about how rubbish everyone is. but no, they would've had to've actually run something then, leaving them with no one to moan about.
Webbo Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 The business plan was always a non starter (apparently)but I don't know what the workers are moaning about. They had 5 years good wages when they could have been redundant a lot earlier.
Matt Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 Past caring tbh, I should, it's our money, but nothing I say or do is going to change, I and many other have lost our jobs recently due to these ****ers, I and many others have been fooked over, Everyone has been a victim or crime from the government, nothing I say or do is going to change it, what's done is done, just get on with it, and wait for the next cock in the government to fook us over. Pessimistic view, Not a good view or way to be treated but like I said nothing I or anyone does is going to change what they do with our money or how they spend it. The current climate and the current times have certainly been a learning curve for me though, Look after number 1, there is always someone there waiting to stab you in the back. The current times have certainly learnt me to become more demanding and looking after number 1.

Well it's more a case of why are we chucking good money after bad, nothing will come of it except it might look like the government actually care and the lawyers of this land make another killing.
Flynny Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 What if they'd investigated and found something they could nail them for? If they don't investigate stuff like this, people know they can't be punished for asset-stripping and job losses that result from it.

Well they were never going to, these people are experts and leaving no trail.
Thracian Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 Well they were never going to, these people are experts and leaving no trail. Wonderful TV for highlighting Labour's relentless class struggle. How Mandelson loved milking the idea of the bosses lining their pockets while the workers had their homes repossessed and lost their jobs. But of course its the government which makes the rules and allows such obscene malpractice. Just as with the bankers before them and just like the MPs themselves of course. Lowlife's one and all. Perhaps one day this nation will be led by someone who stand for decency and a genuinely fair set of principles applied to all without favour or exception. Sadly it won't be in my time.
